Animalcouriers travelled from Italy to Greece and arrived to the unusual sight of snow in Patras. We drove on to Athens, where the first passenger to get on board was Champion Mini Bull Terrier Peabody. He’s off to England in time for Crufts, and we wish him lots of luck. John and Clare breed and show these lovely dogs.
Next up were Fidel and Lady, a lively pair of Spaniels who belong to Dimitri. He’s gone on ahead to England, leaving his dogs in the care of his parents, who brought them to us at the Palace Hotel.
Stavros brought us his cute dog Milou, as they and Anni are off to live and work in Scotland. Stavros’s sister Angeliki is already there — her dog Suzana travelled with us last October.
Cordelia and Anya came to our hotel with two gorgeous cats, Poppi and Philomena. Anya has been fostering them and was sad to see them go, but is pleased to think they have lovely new homes to go to. And finally, Marta and Kiki from the Filozoikos Shelter arrived with lovely black-and-white dog Daisy, who has a new home waiting for her in the UK.
From Athens we headed to Volos Port to meet Andrea and Tom, their dog Robbie and cat Narla. They’ve spent five wonderful years on Skiathos, but now the time has come to go back to the UK. Then it was off to Thessaloniki — an earlier accident on the motorway held us up, but we finally caught up with Ilias and his dog Silva, a cuddly brown and black terrier. There was just time for a quick hug before Ilias had to dash off to catch his plane to Newcastle, where Afroditi is waiting for Ilias and Silva to join her.
The last passenger to board was Louis, a Boxer cross, who was lucky enough to be adopted by Tracy while she was living and working in Greece. Now on their way to the UK, Louis is travelling with us while Tracy takes the plane.
Lovely to see them all!!…..And nice to see Narla stopped sulking! Safe journey, cant wait to see them again at the other end…. Thanks again for looking after them for us! Andrea xx
Hi Andrea – Robbie & Narla are doing very well on the trip. Narla didn’t sulk at all and is being very affectionate!
What gorgeous passengers as usual! and goodness me I bet the car was well smelling of wet pooch..and biscuits 🙂 safe travels all loves Bev xx
You can imagine quite well what the van smelled like 😀 The biscuits certainly helped 😉
HAHAAHHA yep…mmmm biscuits 🙂 xxx
Now that is a CROWD!!! Lots of furrrrramily members on that trip for sure…….and they all look quite content with being travelers – thanks to the wonderful treatment they get from Animal Couriers!
Pam and sam
It’s a very busy trip but for once there aren’t any huge dogs! Courier M had an easy time on walks 😉
Happy people and critters, yum yum on the biscuits.
Yes, lots of smiles around, especially with those biscuits 😉
Can’t wait to hold my Silva in my arms! Haven’t seen her for 9 months! Have a safe trip you all 🙂
Wow – that’s a long time but she’ll be with you very soon now!
Ah Daisy looks like Erasmia! I wish her every happiness and hope she gets as spoilt rotten as our Greek hound!
no dog is like Erasmia…she is unique and wonderful ..always in our heart , always we are looking for her adventures…!! Daisy is smaller and very very shy (not at all like Erasmia!!) <3
Daisy is a little more shy and retiring 😉
Who likes having their picture taken! Easy to see.
Yes, those camera hams are quite self evident!
No snow here, yet. Rain now, but we are below normal for the year.
Beautiful passengers, as always! 🙂 Yes, it is nice to hear the port authorities tolerate and look after the street dogs.
Hope you get enough rain to set you up for the warmer seasons.
It did make us chuckle how quickly his attitude changed when he saw the animals!
Smart dog, Milou, with his “Don’t expect me to go back out in that rain,” look. 🙂 –Curt
Smart girl indeed – she wasn’t having any of it 😀
Your lives are so FULL! How blessed you are, and the furr-sengers too!
Never a dull moment 😉
Charming animals but really great looking biscuits.
Kept couriers J&M going all the way home!
Glad to see Tom got Robbie to smile for the camera. It looks like everybody was smiling. 🙂
They were. Poor old Robbie wasn’t sure quite what was expected 😉
Milou is such a cutie and smart to get out of the rain! Glad you had yummy bisquits for the trip!
We don’t blame her at all – not as if couriers J&M were having much fun either 😉 Those biscuits always keep us going on our way back from Greece!
suffering with a miserable virus but the sight of one of those pink collars was enough to life my spirits
Thought of you when we added that photo 🙂 Hope you’re feeling better now Dallas.
I do hope I am lucky enough to see Peabody at Crufts, that would be awesome!
Do keep an eye out for him and have fun there!
Peabody is in the running for Biggest Paws.
They are huge considering he’s quite a small chap.
They are all lovely!…. All my best wishes. Aquileana :star:
They are a lovely gang!
Are there any biscuits left? I think I’ll go and sit and look at my treat jar until a biped takes pity on me!
Guess it was a bit mean to show so many biscuits in one place!
Safe travels with this load of fluff
Thankfully after beating the snow in Italy we had a really easy journey!
In every life a little snow will fall. 🙂
Milou makes me giggle 🙂
She does have a clownish look!
Gosh! At this rate we’ll need to organise some Greek dog reunions ☺
