Destination UAE: Molly and Honey relocate; Johney is off to demonstrate his skills

Animalcouriers collected gorgeous dogs Molly and Honey in Lincolnshire and homeboarded them overnight. Both girls were very relaxed and quickly made themselves at home. The next morning it was off to the airport for their flight to Dubai to rejoin their owners. Martyn and Beth had gone on ahead to the United Arab Emirates to make sure everything would be ready for the dogs' arrival. Martyn wrote to say: "Two very excited dogs now in their new home in Dubai! Thanks for all the help!" Also heading to UAE was Border Collie Johney, off to give a demonstration of his [...]

Sucre from Spain crosses the Channel with us, heading for Wales

On the way back from delivering the fabulous furry family of three dogs and four cats to their new French home in Brittany, Animalcouriers headed to Caen to collect Chihuahua Sucre. Sucre had travelled from Spain with his owners, but when they reached the port of Caen, it was discovered that Sucre's pet passport wasn't valid for entry to the UK. So he had to stay in kennels until the 21-day period after his rabies vaccination had elapsed. Fortunately, the timing worked out perfectly for Sucre to travel back with us to the UK this week. Courier S and Sucre [...]

Daisy, Bella, Porscha, Le Roi, Mr Jinks, Tallulah and Ellie Mae swap Ireland for France

This family of three dogs and four Maine Coon cats, nicknamed the 'fabulous furries' by courier S, arrived at their new French home in Brittany yesterday. Their journey started in Mooncoin, in Ireland, where Animalcouriers collected them 10 days ago. They stopped over at Burntwood Kennels in Surrey, before undertaking the second leg of their trip to France. Their owners took the 24-hour ferry from Dublin to France in very rough seas, poor things. Meanwhile, their pets took the shorter (and calmer) crossing from Dover to Calais and travelled on to Brittany by road. Daisy, a beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, [...]

Humbug and Nutter fly to Bermuda, and Mussik is reunited in England

Animalcouriers ended 2014 with a puppy flying to Bermuda, and started 2015 in the same way! During a brief visit to the UK in November, Rachael and her family chose bouncy black-and-white Cockerpoo puppy Humbug. They had to wait until December for Humbug to be old enough to fly to Bermuda to join them. She flew with BA, who accept puppies and kittens from the age of 10 weeks. Rachael wrote to say: "Humbug arrived safe and well, full of beans. Thank you so much for all your hard work arranging her safe arrival to us — we are thrilled." [...]

Four cute puppies from Cyprus need new homes

Amanda recently contacted us for help in finding forever homes for four abandoned puppies she rescued last year in Cyprus and has been looking after ever since. It's estimated that these lovely 'Heinz 57' youngsters were born in early August, so they're now about five months old. Help with the cost of transporting them to new homes is available. Amanda tells us: "On a hot Cyprus September afternoon, six hungry and thirsty puppies were found abandoned in a cardboard box by the side of a dusty track. Two puppies found happy new homes here in Cyprus to start their second-chance [...]

Meet Felipe, Lugotti, Pere, Vella and Thor from Spain

With all our passengers from Portugal on board, Animalcouriers crossed the border into Spain and headed to Madrid. We met up with Aurelia to collect a very happy and bouncy young Felipe. Felipe travelled with us last month to spend Christmas in Madrid with all the family. His owners, Sergio and Barbara, are already back in London and are anxiously awaiting his arrival. Aurelia tells us everyone had a lovely festive time, and Felipe clearly agrees. From Madrid we headed to Tarragona to collect Chihuahua Lugotti, who's relocating with his owners to Middlesex in the UK. Both his dads and [...]

Poppy, Blue and Musik join our UK-bound trip in Portugal

Having delivered cats and dogs to their families in France and Portugal, Animalcouriers are now heading back towards the UK, collecting new passengers as we go. On the Portuguese Algarve we met up with little Westie Poppy, who's relocating to Staffordshire. Her owners, Josef and Laura, had to leave the day before, so we suggested Poppy stay at Barking Mad Kennels and Cattery run by old friends of ours, Heather and Alan. From there we headed to Lisbon to collect another little dog, a four-month-old mini-Pinscher called Blue who belongs to Danii. Danii and Blue are moving to London to [...]

Lucy and Lulu relocate to France; Jack and Ruby are on their way to Portugal

Animalcouriers have set off on their latest trip from the UK to southern Europe. Our first stop was to deliver delightful feline duo Lucy and Lulu to their family in the Gers region of France. Captivated by the beauty of this area, Vanessa, her husband and their daughter have come here from Surrey and have rented a house for 12 months, before deciding on a definitive move. And now that Lucy and Lulu have arrived, the family is complete. We stayed last night at Hotel du Prince at Marmande in the Gers, where resident fluffy dog Indy looks after the [...]

A great way to start the new year — news about recent passengers Etti, Rudi, Josephine, Toddy and Maisie

Animalcouriers wishes all our friends and followers a very happy and healthy 2015. To kick off the new year in the best way, we'd like to share updates about some of our recent passengers. Rescue dog Etti (short for Loretta) travelled with us just last month from the Almeria region of Spain to join David and Victoria. David wrote to say: "Thank you very much for getting our sweet pooch to us in time for Christmas. She's such a joy. We have been very lucky with her, considering we just went on a 'hunch'. As you can see, she is [...]
