Couriers J and M accompanied six dogs travelling by air from Greece to the UK via Paris. All young — aged between six months and a year — the dogs' journeys to their UK homes were sponsored by various animal welfare charities. 13 dogs rescued from a South Korean dog meat farm

Earlier in January Animalcouriers helped out at the UK end of the trip for 13 dogs rescued from a South Korean dog meat farm by the UK arm of animal protection charity Humane Society International (HSI). HSI travelled to South Korea in December, accompanied by Pete Wicks from The Only Way is Essex, to bring about the charity's 10th dog meat farm closure. The closure saved 170 dogs from being killed and eaten, and took the total number of dogs saved by HSI to more than 1,200. Pets flying worldwide

With all the road trips going on last year, we got a little behind reporting on pets flying worldwide. So this blog is a round-up of airfreight news during the second half of 2017. Ele Lovely Golden Retriever Ele flew to San Francisco with United on their direct service. Animalcouriers arranged her flight and collected her from her London address. Winnie, Bob, Maisie, Smudge and Eric flying from Greece

As part of our contingent of 30+ pets travelling to the UK, these four puppies and one older dog are flying from Greece. Accompanied by courier Becca, they took off from Athens airport and landed at Paris Charles de Gaulle, where Courier Valerie was waiting to take them the rest of the way via Eurotunnel. During the heat of the summer, we're airlifting pets from Greece to the UK, flying from Athens to Paris or Brussels. Couriers J and M recently transported tabby cat Poppy and a family of five dogs to their new French homes; and returned to the UK with a young Labrador. Airlift from Greece: nine dogs going to the UK

On his way to the UK with Pipi, Boomer, Hector and Dylan, courier M dropped courier J at Milan airport to board a flight to Greece, ready to help with the airlift from Greece of nine dogs going to the UK. Three dogs travelled for the Wild at Heart Foundation. The other six went to the Central Bark Beach Dog Café in Manchester. Four are from Lesvos, and two are from Lemnos. Pets fly to Kuwait, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia

Animalcouriers recently organised for pets to fly to Kuwait, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Australia. Bridget the Midget to Kuwait On a wet morning in London, Animalcouriers met tiny Yorkshire Terrier Bridget and her owner Jody off the train from north-east England. We arranged for Bridget’s Defra export certificate to be completed, then her paperwork was whisked into London to be legalised by the Kuwaiti Embassy. Canine airlift from Greece to Paris, then on to the UK by road

Animalcouriers worked with local Greek welfare organisations to help arrange flights to Paris for 10 young dogs and puppies. Couriers J & M drove to Greece; while couriers Mike and Matthew left two other Animalcouriers vans at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport, before boarding a flight to Athens. Pets take off for the Middle East; and we catch up with recent passengers from Greece

While our couriers have been on the road with pets travelling in Europe, several intrepid dogs and a kitten have boarded planes to travel further afield. Lola Lovely Lola was one of our first passengers to the United Arab Emirates this year, when she flew to Dubai in January. Her owner had moved there just before Christmas and was keen for Lola to join him as soon as possible.
