From Greece with dogs and cats travelling to the UK by air and road

We drove to Greece to meet dogs and cats travelling to the UK by air and road. We split the trip between plane and van as so many animals were on the move. Many of our passengers were beloved family pets; others were strays and rescues going to new homes in the UK. First, let's meet the pets travelling by road. Our specially designed vans are quite modular, so we can reorganise and resize bedrooms depending on the number, size and type of pets travelling with us. Here are couriers Shane and Glenn showing off their assembly skills. [...]

Families relocating from Gibraltar to Malta

A number of families relocating from Gibraltar to Malta asked Animalcouriers to transport their beloved pets for them. We took them by road through Spain, France and Italy, then via Sicily to Malta. Jack We collected friendly Jack, a Boxer-Pointer cross, from Erika at Cozy Kennels in Cadiz. This bouncy fellow belongs to Clare, who has relocated to Malta. We love Jack's kohl-rimmed eye! Jack tries out for 'longest tongue' Freya, Loki, Bella and Nina This fab four, two dogs and two cats, belong to Nela and Jorge. All are calm, chatty and travelling well. It's obvious [...]

Two cats from the Côte d’Azur and a dog from Ancona

Courier Sarah recently undertook a couple of short trips, collecting two cats from the Côte d'Azur and a dog from Ancona. Both cats, Cleo and Sofia, were gorgeous girls who took travelling in their stride. Courier S was responsible for their trip to the wonderful French city of Dijon, where courier Glen took charge of the rest of the journey to the UK. Cleo Darling tabby cat Cleo has been living in the vibrant sea port city of Marseille. With her family relocating to Flintshire for work, they asked us to transport Cleo to the UK on their behalf. [...]

Poppy and Rocco head home after a summer in Italy

Darling mini-Schnauzers Poppy and Rocco headed home with us to London after a summer in Italy. They spent five glorious weeks in the seaside town of Sirolo, near Ancona, which is where courier Sarah collected them. It was a busy day on the Italian autopista as everyone was travelling back from the coast after their summer holidays, but Poppy and Rocco took it in their stride. Courier Sarah and her charges made for the mountains, where the weather was pleasantly cooler, and took the Frejus Tunnel to France. The French roads were much calmer, and the mountain comfort stops and [...]

Regular passengers travelling for summer holidays, and pets relocating

Our latest trip through France, Italy and Spain — involving two of our vans — included several regular passengers, travelling for summer holidays; as well as a number of permanent relocations. Tilly Dear little Yorkie Tilly, who belongs to Charlotte, is a regular Animalcouriers client. She travelled with us from Surrey to her summer holiday home in the lovely area of St Prex in Switzerland. Tilly recently had surgery on her left front paw and sported a rather fetching silvery contraption to protect it. Although initially nervous about putting her paw down, she showed she was recovering well as she [...]

Meet dogs, cats and a cockatiel travelling to and from Malta and Italy

Couriers M and Paul have enjoyed a trip taking in Malta and Italy. Among our passengers were several dogs heading to the UK from Italy, as their families' tour of duty at the NATO base in Naples comes to an end. Bruno Super cute Briard Shepherd pup Bruno, just two months old, travelled with us from breeder Angie in Lincolnshire to excited new owner Derek in Veneto, Italy. Bruno enjoying a walk We're not sure if Bruno has heard about our 'longest tongue' competitions, but here he is making an early (and convincing) bid for first place! [...]

A quick trip to Paris and the sunny south of France

Courier Richard made a quick trip to Paris and the sunny south of France with cats and a dog on board. He then scooped up two cats making the return journey to London. Waiting for the crossing at Folkestone, a seagull perched on the van roof. Hoping for a lift maybe? Cleo and Atticus Doctors Aline and Boris have relocated from London back to Paris. They were especially keen that their beautiful Burmese cats should make the journey in one day, and we were happy to oblige. Aline saw the cats off from London, and Boris was waiting [...]

Swedish hospitality — and cats called Maki and Frusty

Having delivered all our passengers from the UK, we headed to Stockholm to collect our Swedish passenger, a cat called Maki, before making our way to Rotterdam to meet Frusty. Coffee stop on the road. We were lucky enough to enjoy a perfect summer temperature of 24C, complete with a cooling breeze, while much of Europe sweltered in a heatwave. Swedish hospitality On our way to Stockholm we looked for overnight accommodation in the mid west of Sweden,. We followed our noses into the countryside and came upon a rather wonderful place to stay. Not much more than [...]

Cats, geckos, dogs and a budgie get on board

Animalcouriers set off from the UK with cats, geckos, dogs and a budgie on board, on our way to Scandinavia by way of the Netherlands. Jimmy Budgerigar Jimmy belongs to Lauren, who's relocated from Bedfordshire to the Dutch capital, Amsterdam. We collected Jimmy from Lauren's lovely mum Janet, who's been budgie sitting while Lauren completed her move. Jimmy had a short stay with courier J, who found him to be the most cheerful companion. She could quite understand why Janet found it hard to see Jimmy leave! Janet with the very acrobatic Jimmy After a traffic-laden journey [...]
