Collecting a family of dogs, cats and rabbits in Normandy; and heading to Jersey in convoy

While couriers J and M set off with Mal's big family of cats and birds, courier Mike was in the Normandy area collecting a slightly smaller family of pets. Gill and her family have lived on a farm near Calvados for many years, and are now heading back to the UK. They're moving to Dorchester, so not a million miles from their old French haunts! A family of 22 cats and two birds relocate from France to the UK

Animalcouriers travelled to the Lauzun area in the Lot-et-Garonne to make a very special collection: Mal and Mike's 22 cats, one Rosy Lovebird and one Cockatiel. Mal and Mike are relocating to Lincolnshire after living and in France for many years, where they ran a gîte business. Hearty, Lola and Russo join us in Spain; Kaly, Moggy and TomTom get on board in France; and UK reunions start with Pixtura and Nina

Lovely young tortoiseshell cats Hearty and Lola hail from the Balearic Islands. They were brought by ferry to Denia and collected by our friends from Casa Antigua kennels and cattery in Jesus Pobre. Now they're on board with Animalcouriers, on their way to the UK. They're a playful pair, amusing themselves by leaping around their compartment and being general hooligans! Dragao, Sofia, Nina, Bella, Betty, Jack, Honey, Lola and Michael board the bus in Portugal, Gibraltar and Spain

Animalcouriers are wending our way towards the UK, collecting more pets as we go. Cats Dragao and Sofia are travelling with us from Lisbon to Oxfordshire to join their owners Tania and Alexandre. Reunions for Princessa, Bella, Foxydog, Poppy, Rex and Ringo; and Pixtura, Tavi, Mitzi, Polly and Maru are first to join our UK-bound trip

Animalcouriers reunited pets with their owners in Spain and Portugal. We then started the trip back north with the first of our UK-bound passengers on board. Having reunited lovely little Princessa with her owner's partner, Antonio, we spent the night at the coastal resort of Mojacar. During our evening dog walks along the seafront, we watched the waves pounding onto the sand as a storm brewed up. Two bespoke trips: Bublik from Juan les Pins; and a family of six from Devon

In addition to our regular, shared road trips throughout Europe, Animalcouriers is also sometimes asked to do a bespoke trip, where we transport a pet (or group of pets) belonging to one family. Last week we collected tiny Bublik from storm-struck Juan les Pins in south-east France, to take him to his winter residence in London, where his owner is waiting for him. Luka, Echo and North from France join our trip; and the first reunions take place in the UK

As Animalcouriers headed through France towards the UK, we stopped off to collect our final passengers. Gorgeous puss Luka is travelling from Cagnes sur Mer in Provence to Wolverhampton, where he'll rejoin his owner who's flown on ahead. And near Lyon we met Laurent, who breeds beautiful Siberian Huskies. We collected two puppies from him, Echo and North, who are on their way to their owner Matthew in the north of England.
