Meeting Pastis, Daisy, Roxy and Benzema — our passengers from Lyon

You may remember that as we headed towards the UK on our last trip, our van developed a problem with the clutch. So we stopped in the southern French town of Narbonne and left the van for repair at the local Mercedes garage. Meanwhile, Courier Joe drove down from the UK to meet us in another of our vans, so that we could continue our journey. Mercedes sorted the problem out within a few days, and courier Richard flew out to pick up the van and collect UK-bound pets in France. Pastis Courier Richard headed from Narbonne to Lyon, to [...]

We were pleased to receive updates on two rescue dogs: Lily, a recent passenger from Spain; and Sylvia, who travelled with us from Greece in the summer. Meanwhile, courier Richard has been out and about in Brussels and Paris; and couriers J and R have had a houseguest. Here are a few photos of her enjoying herself on the beach." Lily romping with a [...]

Bespoke trips for Max and Luka; Molly; Barney, Rowan and Tish; and news of another Luka and Poppy

When Alison and Victor relocated to the Dutch city of The Hague from the very top of Scotland, near Thurso, they asked Animalcouriers to help move Max and Luka, their two German Short-haired Pointers. We took the dogs to kennels initially, where they stayed for a few days until the family arrived in The Hague, at which point we delivered Max and Luka to a huge welcome. In the midst of all the packing and general hubbub of the move, the two dogs simply spooned and slept Max and Luka at their new home in the Netherlands [...]

Tales from the skies: pets fly to Indonesia, South Africa, Bermuda, New Zealand and Australia

While couriers J, M and others have been transporting pets around Europe over the past few months, other members of the Animalcouriers team have been busy organising air freight for pets travelling somewhat further afield. Here are just a few of their stories. Tilly, a very entertaining young King Charles Cavalier, home boarded with Animalcouriers while she waited for her Indonesian paperwork to be ready. She was a very engaging young lady and we were rather sorry to see her go! Globe-trotting Rhea lived in the Caribbean before moving to the UK for a while. Her latest trip was with [...]

UK reunions for Napoleao, Cuca, Kathy, Neska, Charlie, Galatzo and Melody; and news of Danae

Couriers J and M had quite a time of it when they reached the northern French port of Calais. Fencing was being erected and there was a strong police presence to hold back a flow of migrants, reminding us about all the unhappy places in the world people are fleeing from. Then, on checking in, we discovered there was a strike at the port, so it was a three-hour wait before we could set sail. Eventually we made it back to our Surrey base, where a delighted Teresa was waiting to collect her cats Napoleao and Cuca who had travelled [...]
