In addition to our regular, shared road trips throughout Europe, Animalcouriers is also sometimes asked to do a bespoke trip, where we transport a pet (or group of pets) belonging to one family.
Last week we collected tiny Bublik from storm-struck Juan les Pins in south-east France, to take him to his winter residence in London, where his owner is waiting for him. Completely oblivious to the weather conditions, Bublik set off on his travels very calmly. So calmly, in fact, he was sound asleep and snoring before we’d even left the driveway!
Today it was the turn of a fabulous furry family of six to start their journey from Devon to La Cala de Mijas in Spain. Dogs Sasha, Lola, Cara and Liz, and their feline chums Priva and Fifi, were ready and waiting with shiny new passports when we arrived. Everything was beautifully organised, including bags of favourite food, toys, treats and blankets. They’ll reach France in the morning, and will travel on down to Malaga, where they’ll enjoy a spot of relaxation time in kennels while their human family catches up with them.

Juan les Pins after the storms — not what it usually looks like

Super fluffy Fifi
cool…road trip with critters…in the french countryside…i love it!!!
No complaints here either 😉
I think Sasha was preparing for flight. A few more flaps and she will be on her way. –Curt
Indeed, a rather lighter weight Dumbo 😉
Fluffy Fifi is adorable.
Indeed, rather gorgeous.
Liz looks just like a dog we had when my children were young. All lovely looking pets.
Liz is lovely – your kids must have enjoyed their dog.
Adorable photos 🙂 And I just love the name Bublik!! 🙂
It is rather wonderful – we understand it’s Russian.
Excellent 🙂
What a lovely bunch! Those ears are something and so gorgeous! Hope the weather improved quickly…we can relate here…soggy mess!
Cocker Spaniel ears are a hoot! The floods were luckily over very quickly. Rather a lot of clearing up to do now though 🙁
Dealing with the aftermath of is almost as bad as the flooding. I feel for them
SWEET bunch of travelers and I too love the name Bublik!
Hugs, Pam
Thanks for giving me that “goofy grin” I get reading your posts 🙂
Glad it raised one 😀
Those storms were really something.
Rather shocking.
Hard to pick a favorite, though Sasha’s ears are certainly something special!
We’re with you on the ears!
I was shocked as I saw the pictures of the south… glad you are on the way to UK now and nothing happened to you…. Lola could be related with Leah, I bet it’s a cousin :o)
Courier S was lucky to approach the area after the floods but it was a scene of devastation she met.
If ever there was a Fifi, that Fifi is the Fifiest.
Ha ha – isn’t she just!
Glad you missed the storms and everybody on board okay! That beach is actually in Antibes! I used to live a 5 min walk from there. Storms there were fantastic and some went on for days. Didn’t like those ones!
Pawsome passengers. You provide a great service
They’re all gorgeous, but it looks as though some of them weren’t too keen on sitting still long enough for a photo!
All beautiful passengers! Sasha reminds me a lot of the spaniel my Aunt and Uncle had when I was young. Her name was Taffy.
I love looking at all those sweet faces.

Happy travelers.
