Animalcouriers reached the Greek port of Igoumenitsa by ferry from Italy and motored straight on down to Athens to reunite Beau and Bumble with their owners.
Meanwhile, courier J flew in to Athens to take over from courier Mike for the remainder of the trip. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at a taverna overlooking the water before waving him off.
Not long now before we meet the first of the cats and dogs who’re joining us for the trip back to the UK.
oh no wonder that you got some visitors… that prawns look delicious :o) btw: I though the Elephant Skate is in germany…. butt now I saw it’s behind your van… something must be serious wrong with the gps of that ride LOL
The couriers found it hard to hang onto their prawns 😀 Oh dear, does the Elephant Skate read our blog? Think it wants to join in?
oh my sloe those sweet kitties coming for dinner.
If only there was enough to go round for them all.
Love the kitty beggars. 🙂
Our very favourite kind of beggars!
Sweet little dinner companions lining up for a taste of prawn?? Cute……nice reunions too!
Hugs, Sam and Pam
The very best kind of dinner companions!
Maybe the locals wanted to join you for a trip back to the UK…??
They might indeed have fancied their chances but a little bit of prawn was ok with them too 😉
I’ll say it time and time again. Despite all the driving you guys have one of the best jobs in the world!
It ain’t half bad 😀
So glad to see all went well for your people in Greece. I wondered what the financial madness would mean for you? I loved Bumble…what a sweetheart! When we visited Athens, I remember being amazed at the number of animals that lived on the streets! Made me want to take them all home…
There’s an awful lot of holding of breath here as the situation is anything but resolved. During the summer months there are enough people around to feed many of the street animals but when the summer holidays are over, things start to bite for them.
Yes, I should think so. I hope your clientele won’t be affected.
What fun hanging out with the locals.
Our favourite type of locals to hang out with.
wow the city of cats.
All colours – would say shapes and sizes but they all resemble each other in being rather skinny.
Love your dinner companions
Wouldn’t have any other types!
Kitties tapping on the arm to remind the humans they have something tasty on their plate the kitties would like to have! We know that one well! 🙂
It’s a universal truth!
So, did courier Mike share those prawns? BTW those are huge… larger than any I’ve seen here.
Share those prawns? Heaven forfend 😀 It must be the warm water as there are some bigger than these.
Love the locals. Sophie the former stray is a tapper. She is never shy about asking for pets.
Just love it when they deem it necessary to tap to remind us 😀
those cats are cute
Beau is delightfully small!
That cat was very enthusiastic about ‘helping’ with the meal!
Dedicated!
Thank you so much for transporting Beau…. We had a nice ferry ride back to Rhodes where we managed to get a pet cabin. Beau was asleep in minutes
It was very much our pleasure Katie. Glad you were able to travel on in comfort. Hope things are going well with you in Rhodes.
