The last stop for Animalcouriers on the trip back from Portugal was at a working wine domaine near Auxerre, in the Burgundy region of France. Couriers J and M immersed themselves in the table d’hôte experience and enjoyed tasting the fantastic wines produced at the domaine: a rosé to start, a crisp white to accompany the artisan meat pie, a pinot noir with the main, and a spicier version with pudding.
The family who run the domaine invited us to park our van and walk the dogs within the vintners yard. They watched over us as we prepared the pets for a safe and secure overnight stay.
Once back in the UK, reunions started. Ziollo and Meiow Meiow from Spain arrived at their new home in Hove, where owner Sue was waiting anxiously for them. Odie, also from Spain, was delivered to Kate, who’s been raising money for his rescue and rehoming. He went up to her like a long lost friend and jumped up all waggy tailed. Kate thinks she may have already met his sister, too.
Gorgeous Abyssinian Baboushka has been homeboarding with us since we collected her in France last month. When her owners Fiona and Richard called in to collect her, she gave them a rapturous greeting.
Odies face is the best THANK YOU ever ! It’s nice from Pugsley to invite little Jack for a nap… it’s relly HOMEboarding, well done Pugsley :o)
Hello!! Finally I have gotten over to visit your wonder guests. Being Ukrainian, I laughed at kitty’s name, Baboushka, LOL I love that! I see it’s business as usual here, the business of putting smiles on the faces of people by uniting them with their loved pets. Wonderful!
Sounds like a great trip Couriers M and J had in Burgundy! Love the basket photo with the two dogs snuggled with each other. And yes, those Abyssinians can talk a blue streak, especially when they are happy!
That last shot is so wonderful. It just warmed my heart to see those two cuddled up together.
My favorite, the two dogs sharing a bed. Odie has a look of pure joy. And I really like the name: Meiow, Meiow. 🙂 –Curt
Happy reunions. You all do such a great job.
Happy reunions.
That last picture is adorable!
What wonderful reunions and what a sweet picture of your new little boarder.
It isn’t often you see an artistic drainpipe – that’s rather lovely!
Jack and Pugsley – now there’s a photo for you – with great names to go along with it!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for these sweet pictures!! Safe travels.
Are Abyssinians very vocal?
