Courier Gwen recently transported cats and dogs travelling to and from Denmark, Sweden and Finland. A glorious group of friendly, confident pets who were a pleasure to have on board.
Haku, a cat from England to Sweden
Handsome, sweet-natured Haku is a British Shorthair who belongs to Alec and Andrew. His journey started in Devon and he came well supplied with toys to play with on the trip.

Haku has amazing hazel eyes

With all his favourite toys around him, there was no chance of Haku getting bored

Haku enjoyed snuggling down in his cosy igloo

Rocco, a dog from the US via Heathrow to Finland
Gorgeous Pug Rocco, who belongs to David, flew from the US with Lufthansa to London Heathrow Airport. We collected this cheerful fellow at the Heathrow Animal Reception Centre for his onward journey to Finland.

We travelled with P&O from Dover to Calais. Rocco enjoyed the onboard pet lounge.

We stayed overnight in Calais before continuing our road trip towards Finland

From Stockholm we took another ferry to the Finnish city of Turku, then drove on to Helsinki

In Helsinki, David’s sister was ready to welcome Rocco. What a great travelling companion he was!
Ginger and Grey, 2 cats from France to Sweden
We stopped off near Calais to collect delightful littermates Ginger and Grey at the Landrons Kennels. These former strays have had the good fortune to be adopted by Rachel, who’s giving them a lovely new life in the Swedish countryside.

Kira, a dog from Finland to London
Cheeky Border Terrier Kira belongs to Robert and Shao. This charming little dog has travelled with us before, and courier Gwen was pleased to see her again. Kira’s grandpa brought her by boat from an island in the southwest of Finland to join our trip.

Hard to leave such an idyllic location

We headed to Turku to catch the ferry to Stockholm, but stopped first at the vet for Kira to have a tapeworm treatment (an EU pet travel scheme requirement)

Kira on the overnight ferry. She’s an old hand at this journey.

A morning walk in Sweden…

…and an evening walk in Denmark

Time to get up to catch our ferry to Germany!

A very happy reunion in London for Kira and Shao
Queen Sauv, a cat from Sweden to England
Beautiful Queen Sauv is a Ragdoll who really lives up to her name. We picked this friendly cat up from Martina, just outside Gothenburg, for her journey to England. She homeboarded with us for a few days until her owner could collect her.

Martina gave Queen Sauv a proper send-off

What a stunner!

Ellie, a dog from Denmark to England
We collected Gary’s darling dog Ellie in Denmark for her journey to Bedfordshire.

Big goodbye hugs for Ellie from Anita in Ronnede

A comfort break at Calais before boarding the ferry to Dover

Gary’s Mum Julie was delighted to welcome Ellie. She’s taking care of Ellie until Gary arrives.
What a lovely load of passengers you had. The first photo of Haku is amazing.
Those eyes are stunning.
Wondrous, wondrous, wondrous! I’d been missing the posts of the Animal Couriers and their animals!!
I loved each of these stories and thought they were all gorgeous, loved the reunions, the travels but my personal weakness has always been terriers so guess which one was my personal favorite??
Kira!! Could have just smothered that face with kisses!!
Thanks so much for the post.
We have been missing in action! Glad to be back, especially if we can give you a bumper dose of terrier 😀
❣️ j’aime particulièrement Rocco, d’ailleurs je les aime tous !
Rocco is delightful but they were all great travelling companions!
They’re all gorgeous! The pet lounge on the ferry looks fun.
Aren’t they. Not a bad place to hang out!
Love the photos
Courier Gwen took some great photos.
Very cute animals and great photos. It was especially fun to read that some of them were going to Sweden, where I am from originally. What amazing job you have.
There’s always a lot of raised hands when it comes to a Scandi trip!
Love all the photos – such darling pets and obviously totally “in-love” owners….it’s hard to say goodbye even for a few days but with Animal Couriers in charge of their care – owners know they’ve given over their pets to the very BEST care ever until they meet again!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Thanks. We do out best to de-stress owners about trips and these blogs try to do that.
