If you keep up with the Animalcouriers blog, you’ll know that couriers J and M recently collected Mal and Mike’s 22 cats and two birds from their previous home in the Lot-et-Garonne in France. Now they’ve reached their new home in Lincolnshire.
When we arrived, the lovely new cattery was still under construction! By about 5.00pm it was pretty much ready, so courier M started helping Mal move her cats into their new home.
Disaster struck, however, when two of the feistier felines discovered that a small part of the cattery roof wasn’t secure — Brandy managed to squeeze through the gap and made a run for it before he could be grabbed. He’s still at large, but Mal is very experienced at catching cats. She’s set up cat traps, let her neighbours know to be on the lookout, and is carrying out regular patrols. We’re all keeping our fingers crossed.
Courier M helped out with emergency repairs, but moving the rest of the cats was put off until this morning, once proper repairs had been made.
Courier Mike was also on the road, delivering Gill’s family of pets who travelled with him from Normandy, to their new home in Dorchester. It was a great homecoming for dogs Rosie Pomme, Dolly and Gracie Mai. The two rabbits, along with the four cats — Ginger, Madge, Suzanne and Minou — took it all a bit more calmly!

Those are great cat houses!
Mal did say she was going for the deluxe models – they surely are that!
It looks like the Hilton for Cats
It does and is!
What a perfect cattery. Hope the escapees return.
There’s every hope he will as Mal is an experienced trapper.
Glad to see everyone is safe.
We’re hoping Brandy will make a reappearance soon.
Cat condos. I wonder if they have an association to run them. 🙂 –Curt
It’s probably called the Cat Mafia 😉
Good work.
Shame there was an escapee but luckily not on our watch 😉
What a great cat house set up!
Aren’t they just wonderful!
No pictures of the birds? Did they not survive snacktime?
Hugs
He he – they were off nice and safe in the house by that stage 😉
That’s good, I’m always on the side of the birds. Hugs
Home sweet home! That cattery is something! Hope Brandy returns soon……….sneaky guy!
Hugs, Pam
Ungrateful really considering the splendid cat houses provided 😉
I hope the cat at large is found soon! Those cat houses are something else!
Seems a bit mean of him not to hang around and explore his Hilton setup!
Perhaps he prefers ‘the simple life’! 🙂
What a wonderful cattery and my heart smiles at the dogs so excited an happy to see their humans again.
The cattery is very splendid. Lovely to see even the old dogs putting a burst of speed on when they see their humans.
Hard life for some 😀
I’m so happy Mal has been reunited with her fur and feathers…hope Brandy is now home in the cattery! I always love the reunions 🙂
They are the best part but Brandy making off did rather blunt this one 😉
Perhaps Brandy just needed some alone time. Finger’s crossed that Mal catches up with him.
Yup, Brandy does seem that kind of chap but on the other hand, he could just be plain nosey 😀
that too! lol
So hope the kitty finds his way home. That’s a nice cattery. Hope the cats get to be inside with their humans.
He’ll be rounded up in no time at all. It’s a great cattery – once they’ve all had a chance to settle into their new surroundings they’ll be visiting with their humans.
