Courier Gwen was recently on the road, delivering and collecting dogs and cats in Sweden and Germany.
Ralph and Raymond, 2 dogs from England to Sweden
These two little darlings belong to Shane and Sinead. We collected them in Surrey for their journey to Sweden, where Shane and Sinead are relocating.

The dogs’ animal health certificates (AHCs) were prepared by Travel Vets, where courier Gwen met up with Sinead. Here she is saying goodbye to Ralph and Raymond.

These good boys travelled very cosily in our van

Here we are out for a stroll in Fehmarn, in Germany

Shane was on hand in Stockholm for a rapturous reunion
Kinzey and Leah, 2 cats from England to Sweden
Kinzey and Leah, whose journey started in England, joined the trip in Calais, where courier Ricardo handed them over to courier Gwen.

This delightful pair of young cats came with plenty of toys to keep them occupied along the way

Beautiful Sweden

Joshua delighted to receive the family cats in Malmö
Spike, Slash, Odin, Spin and Chip, 5 cats from Sweden to England
The first passengers to hop on board for the return journey from Sweden to England were Helen’s family of five fab felines. They travelled with us from Jönköping in southern Sweden to their new home in Essex.

Helen was on hand to see them all away

Spike and Slash shared a bedroom

As did Spin and Chip, a very bonded pair of quite shy cats

Odin had his own room in the van

Catching a few morning rays

Odin checking out his new home in Essex

Spike’s turn to take a look

Helen happy to have them all back in her arms
Hugo, a dog from Sweden to England
Also joining us in Sweden for his trip to the UK was handsome Staffie Hugo. He travelled with us to rejoin Shelley who’s relocated to Devon.

Hugo was waiting for us at Hundpensionat Soläng kennels

Courier Gwen took him to the vet for his compulsory worming treatment. He was such a good boy, he got a treat!

Out walking in Sweden

Watching the sun go down in Lund

A walk in Rødby, Denmark before catching the ferry to Germany

The weather was lovely for our crossing to Puttgarden

Someone on board had a nice ride!

We stopped for the night in Hamburg

On arrival in the UK, courier Gwen handed Hugo over to courier Ray for the final leg of his trip to Devon. Courier Ray has a thing for Staffies and it was love at first sight for him and Hugo!
Hestia, a dog from Germany to England
At our stopover in Hamburg we welcomed on board two-year-old Saint Bernard Hestia, who belongs to Rachel and Chris. Another pet’s passport wasn’t yet ready, but they will be joining our next trip from Hamburg.

We met up with Chris and Hestia in a park in Hamburg

What a gorgeous girl!

We delivered Hestia to Byebrue Boarding Kennels in Suffolk, where she had a short stay before Rachel and Chris caught up with her
And finally…
On her travels, courier Gwen usually takes photos of glamorous vintage cars, but this trip it was a giant potato that caught her eye!

The potato — modelled on a King Edward, apparently — has its own roundabout in Mjölby, Sweden’s ‘potato state’

Oh what lovely photos! Places, people, pets – we’ve said this before but it’s STILL true as can be – animals traveling with you all always look happy and comfortable and seeing everyone reunited with their owners does the heart good!! Thanks for sharing these trips – there are sadly many people who leave their pets behind when they move which is heartbreaking – keeping families together is what you all do AND do it so well.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Mmm, there are shocking stats about abandonment, especially when people go on holiday , not just moving house.
You do such a wonderful job. I can see everyone enjoys the ‘work’.
They do indeed!
Back in the days before Carport Kitty took up with us I never fully appreciated the cat travelers as I do now – my bad. I always loved the pictures, but now I love the cats! Big difference, as you know!
The dogs, well, you know have always been the Alpha and Omega for me.
Thank you for the “Sweden” pictures, too. Gorgeous!
So pleased you’ve had a great character introducing you to the joys of cats. Carport Kitty did a good job!
So many lovelies. I had a St. Bernard years ago.
St Bernard’s are gorgeous but keeping on top of their shedding can be interesting!
I loved meeting all your guests this morning. I adore kitties so so much, they’re always my favourite to see and read their names. haha, I wondered if Slash had earned his name When I was a teen, I babysat for a family with a St Bernard. I remember ‘George’ was always drooling Hestia is very sweet looking. Happy and safe travels friends
