To wish you all a happy new year, let’s catch up on end-of-year pet travels in Europe.

Pets travelling between the UK, Spain and Portugal

We headed to Spain with gorgeous Rhodesian Ridgeback Shelby for owner Dee, and delightful Shar Pei Tori for owner Dani.

On the way back to the UK, we collected Caroline’s lovely Cocker Spaniel Nina (a returning client) and Persian cat Peppa, travelling to join John’s family.

Long awaited by owner John, fabulous floof Peppa travelled with us from the Portuguese capital, Lisbon, to Surrey, where John took over for the last leg to Lincolnshire

Apollo and Zeus, 2 cats from the UK to Italy

Affectionate ginger brothers Apollo and Zeus travelled with us to join their family who’ve relocated back to Monza in Italy. We oversaw completion of their Animal Health Certificates (AHCs) at the vet to help ensure their journey went without a hitch.

Russell, a dog from Australia to France via the UK

Splendid Bulldog Russell flew from Sydney to London, the only route available to Bulldog breeds heading to France. We collected him at the airport and helped organise his AHC for his onward journey to Bordeaux.

Russell is quite the character — a fit and energetic dog who loves a long walk with lots of sniffing opportunities

Ruth, a cat from England to Norway

When Ruth’s owner learned she wasn’t allowed to take Ruth in the cabin with her on the flight from England to Oslo, she asked Animalcouriers to arrange airfreight for her. We also homeboarded this super girl and oversaw her AHC. Her owner flew on ahead and was ready to roll out the red carpet on Ruth’s arrival.

Garfield and Fidget, 2 cats from Spain to the UK

In Barcelona we collected cats Garfield and Fidget from separate clients. Garfield travelled with us to our Surrey base where his owner came to collect him, while Fidget travelled on with us to Lanarkshire.

Polo and Squirt, 2 cats from England to Ireland

We transported these two adorable cats from Hampshire to Dublin in our newly converted Mercedes Vito van. Polo is a Snowshoe and Squirt a Snowshoe/Bluepoint Siamese mix. A rare breed, the defining feature of Snowshoe cats is their white paws.
