Couriers Glenn and Shane travelled to the Greek island of Lemnos to collect 14 gorgeous dogs heading to new homes in the UK.
On the way, they delivered a fabulous pair of Ragdoll kittens in Italy, and a chatty cockatiel in Athens.

Our journey from Lemnos to the UK
The ferry we were due to catch from Lemnos to mainland Greece was cancelled, so we spent a night in a hotel, where the owners were quite amused by our taking 14 dogs for walks around the grounds!
After a late crossing the next day, we reached Chris’s Animal Hotel near Athens at about midnight. Christine was amazing — she opened up her kennels for the dogs, gave them food and water, got them walked and settled them in for a good rest.
We set off the next day, sailing from Greece to Italy, and then on by road through the Mont Blanc tunnel and into France. Once at Calais, we boarded the ferry to Dover.

Wonderful views from our hotel near Chambéry in the Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes region of France

The hotel — one of our favourites — has its own grounds and is a super safe environment for the dogs

Rumi’s owner wrote to say: “‘Lovely and settled! He’s so relaxed, it’s amazing after that journey and it must be down to you guys making it as calm as possible for them. I thought he would be a quivering wreck!!! Thank you — we are about to go for a sunny explore on Woolacombe Beach.”

Frosty looks to be suffering greatly. I’d like to suffer that much.
God bless all the people who are providing loving and caring homes for these fabulous dogs!
