From Spain Animalcouriers headed into Portugal where we reunited long-haired black cat Rosie with Anne on the Algarve. Anne was ecstatic, having spent the whole morning waiting excitedly to see Rosie again.
Anne and her husband Ray split their time between the UK and Portugal. When their much-loved cat and dog passed away, they found it difficult to live without any pets. So they adopted 11-year-old Rosie from a rescue. Having been rather overlooked by other potential adopters, this little girl landed on her paws with Anne and Ray. Anne dropped us a line to say:
“A million thanks. Rosie has investigated everything and is now heartily tucking into her favourite meal and trying to purr at the same time.”
Also on the Algarve we reunited Annie May with Janise. It was hard to say who was the more delighted of the two!
Percy, Magnus, Dash, Chinie and Mause are also safely home. These five felines were collected in Harrogate, spent a few weeks at a cattery, did a road trip to Barcelona, caught an overnight ferry from Barcelona to Palma, then got a lift the rest of the way home. Despite all their adventures, these five felines no time at all to settle in to their new life on a Spanish island.
Last month Rosemary’s handsome hound Rafa travelled with us to the UK and now her slinky black cat Tiddles is following on. Tiddles was found by Diana of Animal Inn Guia and adopted by Rosemary. Tiddles’s paperwork wasn’t quite ready for him to travel last month, so he went back to stay with Diana and Bungie to wait for us. He’s a little bit unhappy as he’s had a few changes in his short time with Rosemary. But we’ll do our best to reassure him, and we’re certain he’ll soon settle down once he’s home with Rosemary and Rafa.
Our final happy reunion of the day was when we delivered Staffie cross Crystal to her owner Ella in Andalucia in Spain — both were thrilled to be back together.
What lucky felines Rosie & Tiddles are
Rosie knows it very well. Tiddles is having to take it on trust at the mo 😉
Oh what lovely animals and happy faces on human and fuzzy friend alike!!!!!
Hugs, Sammy
Yes, their faces are all equally delighted!
Oh what a wonderful moment…. and I’m sure Tiddles will celebrate such a reunion purrty soon :o)
Tiddles will be relieved when the move is over – and jolly happy too!
I would miss my fur kids so much being apart as long as some of these have been from their parents, but it is good to know there are such devoted and compassionate companies like yours who look after them so well.
Yes, some of these owners have had a long wait to be reunited. The end result being rather exuberant meetings!
A bunch of cuties!
All very pleased to be home. Even Tiddles will feel that way soon 😉
I love a happy reunion 🙂
Us too!
🙂
Always glad to hear of people adopting older animals. They may not live as long, are just as lovable as the youngsters and give just as much back. The older ones need good homes too.
You’re right – older rescues give a whole lot of love back but are so often overlooked.
Such delightful reunions. Just what we need… more joy and happiness! 😀
Yes, we all need a daily dose of that!
It just has to be fun, reuniting people with their pets. –Curt
Oh, it’s great fun but it does test the photography skills 😉
I love seeing the smiles at journey’s end!
