Courier Gwen travelled to Slovakia with Betty the Pug, who was relocating with her owner Miriam. Darling Betty was super company along the way. She made the most of the P&O pet lounge and deck facilities on the crossing, and behaved beautifully in our hotel rooms as we drove through France, Germany and Austria.

Betty left from Haywards Heath with her travel bag carefully packed by Miriam

Betty travelled comfortably in our van

She enjoyed a stroll on deck on board the ferry

We spent two nights in hotels along the way

Betty happy was happy to test the beds!

She enjoyed plenty of opportunities to stretch her legs

Charming woodland in France

Meeting a friendly cat

In Rottenbach, Austria, we admired the late Gothic parish church…

…and this rather racy car!

Miriam thrilled to be reunited with with Betty in Velky Meder, Slovakia

On the way back, courier Gwen stopped at a brocante (second-hand store) in northern France. These sculptures of female figures have something about them of Niki de Saint Phalle. Not so sure about the goats!

Also on offer: a tandem. A new mode of transport for Animalcouriers perhaps?

Betty is totally adorable and I bet she made a wonderful traveling pug as she made her way with AC’s help back to her family in Slovakia. Love all the photos – those “female swimmer” art pieces are quite interesting – would be cute additions to someone’s poolside!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
Courier Gwen adored having Betty along for the ride! Yes, they would work as poolside decorations.
Adorable. So is the friendly kitty.
The kitty was curious.
Betty is very cute and she reminded us of our late Pug Daisy. She even has the same leash as Daisy had. It is great she was so well behaved. Good job Betty. The photos are great!
Betty was a super travelling companion. Pugs are good company.
Betty the Pug is quite the traveler, and her travels made for a great journey!
Loved the pictures – even the tandem bike was fun, but no thanks – a bit too arduous for either Betty or me!
Ha! You get Betty
Well look at sweet Betty Her face just makes you smile. Such a long trip by AC, but looked adventurous with lots of scenery to admire and other curiosities. LOL, those swimmers ! I might actually look fit next to them, so what a bargain

Betty sure looked comfy and happy. Those trees in France are lined up perfectly. I wondered if they were planted many years ago like that for some reason.
Such a sweet story! I like how you share the little details of Betty’s journey, it makes it so heartwarming.
Betty was a great companion to travel with!
