The story of Emilio from Lisbon

We recently collected handsome Siamese cat Emilio from Lisbon and delivered him to his new home in Harrogate. The story behind Emilio's relocation is rather a sad one, which his family have invited us to share.Emilio was adopted by Rachael and Rob in Lisbon four years ago, when his original owner moved to China. Rachael and Rob adored Emilio, and he was central to their plans to move back to the UK from Portugal in 2020.Tragically, Rob passed away in September at the age of 31, shortly after being diagnosed with a brain tumour. Rachael moved back to the family home in North Yorkshire, and her mum, Linda, sprang into [...]

Updates on Dimos and Milly from Greece; and greetings from Capability in Bermuda

We love to hear how pets settle in after their journey with Animalcouriers. We've heard from Suzie that Dimos, one of the dogs who travelled from Greece, is doing very well. She tells us: "Dimos slept like a baby all last night and has enjoyed a couple of lovely walks in the sunshine today. He is looking to Alfie for guidance as you will hopefully be able to see in the video clip. He is very affectionate and likes to be with us wherever we are. As I write this he is curled up on my foot! It is of course early [...]

Pepe is loving his new life in Scotland

Pepe recently travelled with Animalcouriers from Spain to the UK. He was rescued by Ciara from life as a street dog and has now settled in to his new home in Scotland. Ciara wrote to tell us how well Pepe is doing: "I just wanted to say a final thank you for everything! Without Animalcouriers it would have been financially impossible for me to import Pepe, and I couldn't have rescued him. So it's thanks to you that I can send you some pictures of him enjoying his new life on the west coast of Scotland — a far cry from [...]

Peach flies from Budapest to Manchester

Animalcouriers arranged for gorgeous tortoiseshell puss Peach to fly from Budapest to Manchester with Jet2. Concerned about how well Peach would take to flying, her owner was very careful to make sure everything was just right for her. This including choosing the right size of travel box, and giving Peach plenty of time to get used to being in it before she travelled. This effort, coupled with bedding full of scents from home helped to reassure Peach, keep her comfortable and alleviate any possible stress. Other travel tips include using the pheromone spray Feliway for cats, and DAP for dogs. [...]

Little Arrow has made himself right at home

Lisa was quick to let us know that Arrow had settled in well, and to share with us her recipe for the pumpkin cookies that ocurier M had so enjoyed. She recently sent us a couple more photos of this adorable Welsh Corgi pup, saying: "I just wanted to say thank you again for getting Arrow safely to us (and doing the driving, or most of it!). We are really enjoying him being part of our family, and I can't thank you enough for your care and professionalism." Big cuddles for the family's favourite fellow A fine [...]

Mack and Millie are off on an adventure

This lovable pair of lively Jack Russells are travelling with Animalcouriers from York all the way to Christchurch, New Zealand, where their owners are relocating. The move had to be organised very quickly as 'dad' got fast tracked, leaving 'mum' frantically making arrangements for the dogs and all the other removals. Fortunately she's made of stern stuff, and has coped brilliantly. The dogs seemed blissfully unaware of the whiff of tension in the air at home and are behaving impeccably. Millie Mack Auction house passed en route

Mystery solved as Italian Pointer pup wins her first award

In March this year Animalcouriers transported a four-month-old puppy from Rimini in Italy to the UK. At the time we weren't allowed to reveal her identity, so were forced to rely on artist's impressions of her instead of taking photos. Now her owner, Julie, has been in touch to tell us all about the mystery pup and her award-winning ways: "The ‘Mystery Dog’ is revealed as Pia Dei Sanchi who is a Bracco Italiano (Italian pointer). She will work and show. She entered her first championship show last weekend and won best Puppy in Breed. Thanks to Animalcouriers for taking such expert care [...]

Daisy, who travelled with us from Kos to Lincoln

Daisy was part of our January trip from Greece to the UK. We really took to her and her very waggy tail. So we were very pleased to hear from her owners, Lesley and Keith, how well she's settling in. "We just wanted to thank you so much for making it possible to bring Daisy to us. The whole process was smooth and painless and we cannot fault the efforts made by your team. Daisy is settling in nicely with our other dogs (Bruno, Ralph & Leroy) and she is even bracing the English weather! Please take this e-mail as an official [...]

A very big thank you for delivering our Scooby safely

Scooby travelled to the UK with Animalcouriers from Corfu. Dina wrote to tell us the story of how she and her family came to adopt Scooby, and to let us know how brilliantly he's settling in to his new home with them: "Scooby 'chose' us while we were on a short holiday in Corfu. A very kind lady, Spiradoula, a person we feel honoured to have met, fostered him for us on behalf of another very lovely lady, Louisa, who was instrumental in arranging alongside us and Animalcouriers to bring Scooby over to the UK. "Scooby had a very long [...]
