Deliveries in Sweden and Denmark, and collections in Germany and France

Just before the end of last year courier Paul made deliveries in Sweden and Denmark, and collections in Germany and France. He headed to Scandinavia with five gorgeous cats on board and returned to the UK with a rabbit and three dogs. One dog had travelled with her owner from Ukraine; the other two flew in to Paris from South Korea. Samantha, Kelly, Julius and Oska, 4 cats from England to Sweden When Sabina returned to Stockholm after more than two years in Surrey, her four splendid pets made the return journey with Animalcouriers. Red kite chicks fly from England to Spain

Animalcouriers is very proud to be involved in a conservation project to fly red kite chicks from England to Spain. A project that started 30 years ago It's a wonderful and extraordinary story that started more than 30 years ago. At that time, young red kites were brought from thriving populations in Spain to England, to boost the British numbers which had declined to just 42 breeding pairs. That project was so successful — the most successful raptor restoration project in Europe — that there are now more than 6,000 breeding pairs in Britain. So now that Spanish numbers have [...]

Pets travelling by air and homeboarding

Some of the pets we transport by road fly in from abroad. Other pets start their journey in the UK and fly out to destinations like the Cayman Islands and Singapore. In some cases, we offer homeboarding for outbound pets — especially puppies and kittens like Stella, Walnut and Whisper (below), for whom the socialising nature of a home environment is often preferable to a kennels or cattery. Major, a dog from the Cayman Islands to Scotland via Paris Bonnie's beloved dog Major couldn't fly direct from the Cayman Islands to the UK because the Animal Reception Centre (ARC) at [...]

Behind the scenes at Animalcouriers — keeping pets on the move

Now that we've turned the page on the challenging year that was 2020, we thought we'd give you a sneak peak behind the scenes at Animalcouriers. It's also an opportunity for our directors to give a shout out to the whole team, who've shown phenomenal dedication, creativity and even courage to keep pets on the move. Our office team. When Covid struck, our office team — Lesley, Theresa and Natalie — had to become used to working from home. They've worked flat out, dealing with an increase in enquiries that often finds them at their desks in the evenings and [...]

Storm, Sadie and Myla from South Africa to the Cayman Islands Claire’s dogs Storm, Sadie and Myla travelled from South Africa to the UK in January, where they stayed for three months before meeting the Cayman Islands’ strict entry requirements. Poor Claire thought her plans for an [...]

Pets in the air to worldwide destinations

2020 got off to a flying start with pets in the air to worldwide destinations. But we'd only just got Labradoodle Willow away to Melbourne, and frequent flyer Millie to southern Spain for her annual stay, when Covid-19 (coronavirus) struck, and most travel was put on hold as countries went into lockdown. Rocky, a dog from the UK to the Cayman Islands Just before the Cayman Islands shut down, we worked with Aimee of Must Love Dogs to get lovely Labrador Rocky onto the last scheduled BA flight from London to Cayman. Rocky homeboarded with Must Love Dogs until his family [...]

Cats and dogs by air from Greece to the UK

Courier J flew to Athens with couriers Mary and Vicki to bring cats and dogs by air from Greece to the UK. At our hotel in Athens, a new litter of stray kittens had appeared since the last time we stayed. This little one soon caught on to the idea of sharing bits of our breakfast. Romeo, Tabitha and Nala from Lesvos Anne Marie adopted this litter of three kittens during a recent trip to Lesvos. Now they're on their way to join her at their new UK home. Handsome Romeo — his sisters were rather camera [...]

Pets flying to Australia, Bahrain, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Dubai, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Singapore

As well as our regular road routes all over Europe, Animalcouriers organises flights and paperwork for pets flying to destinations further afield. Here's a round-up of some of the pets we've helped reach their faraway homes over the past few months. Alfie We collected Rhodesian Ridgeback pup Alfie in Edinburgh and brought him south to stay with couriers M and L, ahead of his BA flight from London Heathrow to Grand Cayman. Nails were bitten to the quick as his rabies blood test got held up in the Christmas post. It turned up at the 11th hour, so he was [...]
