Rescuing dogs from the streets of South Korea

Renata does a fantastic job of rescuing dogs from theĀ streets of South Korea. She originally rescued a dog for herself, but the terribleĀ lives led by these stray dogs drove her to persuade her friends to join her inĀ getting as many ofĀ them off the streets as she can.Renata is very careful in the rehoming of these dogs. SheĀ selects dogs individually for people who apply to help, then completes theĀ entire processĀ herself ā€” from home visits to assisting with introductions andĀ support during the first days.Fortunately, there are kind people in South Korea who offerĀ to accompany the dogs on their flights from South Korea [...]

Pets travelling by air and homeboarding

Some of the pets we transport by road fly in from abroad. Other pets start their journey in the UK and fly out to destinations like the Cayman Islands and Singapore. In some cases, we offer homeboarding for outbound pets ā€” especially puppies and kittens like Stella, Walnut and Whisper (below), for whom the socialising nature of a home environment is often preferable to a kennels or cattery. Major, a dog from the Cayman Islands to Scotland via Paris Bonnie's beloved dog Major couldn't fly direct from the Cayman Islands to the UK because the Animal Reception Centre (ARC) at [...]

Our couriers have been on the road already this new year, with trips to Paris, the south of France and Amsterdam. Fidji , a dog from London to Paris Darling Jack Russell Terrier Fidji is a regular passenger with Animalcouriers as she splits her time between London and Paris. She's so familiar with the routine, she jumps into our van and settles down straight away. Then, at Calais, she leads us through Pet Reception on our way to board the Eurotunnel. We suspect she could make the journey by herself if only she could drive! Gorgeous little Fidji [...]

Channel hopping with TaTa, and season’s greetings

Animalcouriers is just back from channel hopping with TaTa, a little dog who started life in Russia and now has a forever home in Scotland. Tata's story prompted us to look back at some of the other pets who've hopped the Channel with us over the past year. What is channel hopping? We developed this cost-effective, same-day service for transporting pets (and often their owners, too) from northern France, Belgium or the Netherlands to the UK via the Channel Tunnel. It's particularly useful for pet owners who are: Flying in from outside the EU. Pets aren't allowed to enter the [...]

Channel hopping with Fidji and Mylo

Jack Russell Terrier Fidji belongs to French couple Sophie and Mathieu, who live in London and spent the Easter break with family in Paris. On their frequent trips to and from Paris, they usually drive Fidji themselves, but this time Mathieu returned to London ahead of the rest of the family. With her two young daughters, Tara and Stella, to focus on, Sophie called Animalcouriers to transport Fidji. Fidji is quite a character dog and, true to her breed, she was watching every mouthful of lunch the girls were eating when courier Richard arrived. Tara (seated) with her younger [...]
