Pets travelling to and from Greece, Italy, Malta, France, Spain — and Havana

Over recent weeks our couriers have been out and about with pets travelling to and from Greece, Italy, Malta, Spain — and Havana. Tommy, a dog from the UK to Greece Delightful Pug Tommy travelled with courier Shane from Nottingham to Athens. Tommy's trip with us was arranged at the last minute when his owners learned that, being a Pug, Tommy wasn't allowed to fly. But they couldn't bear to leave him behind in London. Like English and French Bulldogs, Boxers, Boston Terriers and some other breeds, Pugs are brachycephalic dogs (or brachy dogs). Their shortened snouts and flattish faces [...]

Meeting search and rescue dog Teal at Paris Charles de Gaulle

Animalcouriers met search and rescue dog Teal at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport. Teal flew in with Mike from Afghanistan. Teal and Mike were on active duty in Kabul, where they were both blown up and left very shaken. Mike told us he owes his life to Teal. Mike has sponsored Teal's journey to the UK, where Teal will stay at a farm in Wiltshire to recover. They will then decide whether Teal, who is owned by the British Embassy, will retrain or retire. In the meantime, Mike has gone back to work. Mike and Teal at CDG [...]

Bespoke trips for Max and Luka; Molly; Barney, Rowan and Tish; and news of another Luka and Poppy

When Alison and Victor relocated to the Dutch city of The Hague from the very top of Scotland, near Thurso, they asked Animalcouriers to help move Max and Luka, their two German Short-haired Pointers. We took the dogs to kennels initially, where they stayed for a few days until the family arrived in The Hague, at which point we delivered Max and Luka to a huge welcome. In the midst of all the packing and general hubbub of the move, the two dogs simply spooned and slept Max and Luka at their new home in the Netherlands [...]

Channel hopping with Jimmie, Millie, Ellis, Dooby, Lluvia and Mikey

While couriers J and M completed their return trip from Portugal to the UK, courier Mike was kept busy with a number of short hops across the channel. Meryl's cats Jimmie and Millie were due to join an earlier trip from the UK to France, but a problem with their passports meant their travel was delayed. They stayed at a cattery while their owners went on ahead. Once the passports were sorted, Courier Mike collected them from East Sussex and drove them to their new home in the Lot. Amanda contacted Animalcouriers as she was struggling to get herself and [...]
