Couriers Glenn and Shane headed to Greece to collect pets travelling to the UK. A long passenger list meant that two of our vans were needed to get everyone on board.

On the way to Greece courier Glenn stopped in Italy to deliver American Bulldog Nina, who travelled from Manchester. She was so excited to see owner Domenico that she ran round in circles for quite some time!

Glamorous Masha travelled with us from Essex to Crete, where Debbie and Ken were waiting to roll out the red carpet for her — and were kind enough to send us this super photo, too!
Our passengers from mainland Greece
While courier Shane made his way to Lemnos, courier Glenn went to Athens to meet our passengers from mainland Greece. Among them were:

Dear little Shih Tzu Joy travelled from Thessaloniki to rejoin owner Fay in Birmingham. Here she is with Fay’s brother who’s been taking care of her since Fay relocated.

We collected gorgeous Griffon Maxi at Chris’s Animal Hotel. She was over the moon when we delivered her to owners Janette and Kevin, who’ve relocated to the UK.

Maggie adopted gorgeous Ned (here) and Indie while in Greece

Indie arrives

Now these two lucky felines have a lovely life ahead in their new home in Cornwall

Rula (here), Tuli and Ollie travelled with us from Greece to Wales

This is Tuli

And here is Ollie. All three making themselves quite at home!

Splendid Husky Aki made the journey from Athens to rejoin Catalina in London

Aki was ready to do his own customs search at Igoumenitsa port!

Meli, a sleek Hungarian Vizsla, and Ragdoll pal Cleo travelled with us from Greece to London for a reunion with owner Alexia

Gorgeous Cleo proved to be very friendly

Cleo enjoyed sleeping under her cushion!

Adamantios is a neurosurgeon at UCLH. His five cats — Aris, Lydia, Zykos, Navi and Lily — travelled with us from Athens.

When he came to collect his cats at our Surrey base, he started speaking to them in Greek, and they instantly responded and relaxed!
11 dogs from Lemnos
Courier Shane collected these lovelies from Lemnos for Starlight Barking Trust. All are rescues and some had been at the shelter for a long time. All the dogs — travelling with TRACES certificates — were on their way to loving new homes in the UK.

Alma made the journey to Rachel in Kent

Archie’s new home is with Vicky in North Yorkshire

Ella (formerly Cruela) and Fivos have been in the shelter for seven years, and have never been apart. They will stay together with Mark in Kent.

Beata, along with Fluffy and Lydia, were on their way to Wendy in Peterborough

Lydia

Ginger travelled with Karma to new owner Sally in Uxbridge

Karma

Mickey’s destination was Suffolk, where Fiona was waiting to welcome him

Zelda travelled with us to Sharon in Staffordshire

All safely on board and ready for the off
A final passenger from Italy

On our way back to the UK via Italy, we collected Birman cat Tessa,, who belongs to Andrea. Here he is delighted to collect her from our Surrey base.
oooh this wonderful reunions!!!! … have you brought the washer including the cat to uk, or did the cat agree to take a place in your van without? ;O)
She very kindly deigned to travel without her washing machine 😀
That’s a lot of passengers! It’s lovely to see reunions and I hope the ones in new homes will be very happy.
It was a big group but a very happy one with very excited owners waiting!
So wonderful that some who had been in a shelter for a whole or in one case with the two dogs for YEARS, were finally given a chance to have a FOREVER HOME. I love stories like that. Everyone sure looks happy to have reunited with their families whether NEW or OLD.
Hugs, Pam
Aren’t these stories wonderful!
You have certainly been busy!!
Mustn’t grumble!
Nothing beats your team, does it? Paperwork, virus precautions, all overcome to give happy reunions.
We’re very pleased we can continue to work during these difficult times!
Wonderful pets traveling with you this time. We love that pair are going to a forever home.
Great to see pups being rehomed in numbers!
Beautiful passengers.
A great bunch.
It takes a bold kitty to pose in a washing machine! 🙂 –Curt
Why do they all try it? 😀
I echo the sentiments of all of the above comments – these reunion pictures are marvelous, beautiful, brilliant – and congratulations to your couriers for their courageous journeys!
You provide an incredible service, and I wish all of you safe travels always.
It’s always a delight to bring these shelter pups to new homes!
This batch gives me great joy. Lovely to see so many placed in happy homes. Looks like some good entries for the long tongue competition.
