Couriers Glenn and Ainslie travelled with pet passengers from the UK to Italy and Greece, with a brief stop-off in France. A few days later Courier Mike set off for Naples to collect pets bound for the UK and Belgium.
Ernie and Barney, two dogs from London to France
Adorable Pugs Ernie and Barney, who belong to Ramzi, were our first delivery, travelling with us from London to Grasse in France.

Ramzi’s mum was waiting to welcome Barney and Ernie to Grasse
Tractor, a cat from the UK to Bologna
Gorgeous tabby cat Tractor (what a great name!) started his journey with us in Surrey. We took him to Bologna for a reunion with owner Luchian.

Akasha and Merlin, 2 dogs from Luton to Greece
A simply stunning pair of Siberian Huskies, Akasha and Merlin belong to Iordanis. Natalia brought the dogs to us in Surrey and they travelled with us to Thessaloniki in Greece.

A warm welcome for Akasha and Merlin in Thessaloniki
Allegro, a dog from London to Greece
Leggy Lurcher Allegro belongs to Gabriella. On returning to Greece after 20 years in the UK, she entrusted Allegro’s transport to Animalcouriers.

Beautiful Allegro

Allegro was a little nervous, so spent the night in the hotel with us

Allegro happily reunited with Gabriella
Dixie, a cat from London to Athens
Vasiliki’s cat Dixie looks like butter wouldn’t melt in her mouth, but she’s quite a character. As soon as her food arrives, she’s ready to tuck in — but only after a quick hiss at our couriers of course!

Dixie — very cute and full of character
Pumpkin, a cat from Cornwall to Crete
Pumpkin belongs to Ann, who’s relocated from Cornwall to the island of Crete. Pumpkin turned out to be a super friendly puss who loves being stroked.

Gorgeous Pumpkin ready for some attention
Bessie and Bertie, a dog and a cat from Greece to Kent
Once all our passengers from the UK were safely delivered to their families, it was time to meet the crew from Greece. First up: splendid Collie Bessie and her feline chum Bertie who belong to Jane. We collected them from Chris’s Animal Hotel in Athens for their journey to Deal in Kent.

Apollo and Ziggy, two dogs from Greece to London
Lovely Labrador Apollo and Havanese Ziggy belong to Iman. They too were waiting for us at Chris’s Animal Hotel, ready to travel with us to London.

Five rescue dogs from Greece to the UK
Five rescue dogs — Lucy, Triston, Regina, Dahlia and Milou — travelled with us for Starlight Barking to their new homes in the UK.

Dear little Lucy

Happy Triston

Gorgeous Staffie cross Regina — this clever girl learned to ‘sit’ while on the trip

The rather impressive ferry that transported our couriers and their passengers from Greece to Italy
Pets travelling from the Lago Patria Nato base
While couriers Glenn and Ainslie made their way back from Greece, courier Mike headed to Naples. Personnel from the Lago Patria Nato base went into lockdown much earlier than the rest of Italy, and only recently were allowed to travel to new postings. We were on hand to collect the pets moving with them.

Cool cats Yorker and Noodle were waiting to join the trip

Shaun’s cheeky French Bulldogs ready for the off

Handsome Retriever Captain was originally booked to travel with us in January, but lockdown put the brakes on. At last he and his owners were able to move to their new posting in Belgium. Captain is going on ahead and will wait for them at the military kennels in Mons.

Courier Mike’s arrival in Naples was also well timed for Becky and her son, who’d been worrying about how to get their beloved Spaniel to the UK from Sicily. They took the overnight boat from Sicily and met Mike at the port to do a handover. Becky told us she was very relieved!
Happy meetings and reunions in the UK

Safe arrival for Collie Bessie and cat Bertie at Alkhamhurst kennels, where they had a short stay until owner Jane caught up with them

A big hug for Spaniel Poppy from owner Sophie

Triston meeting his excited new family
Every passenger-gorgeous.
A very gorgeous lot!
Akasha brought back fond memories of my first dog. Yet another great mix of passengers. That ferry is pretty impressive.
They are lovely dogs and so handsome! We have very high standards when it comes to ferries 😉
Always fun to see people reunited with their pets. Tractor looks like he is contemplating using the toilet in lieu of his litter box. Allegro looks like he has greyhound in him. I had a part greyhound once that our family rescued from the woods where she made her living chasing down and eating jackrabbits. The most loving pet I have ever had. –Curt
Tractor has some serious exploring to do, anything is possible 😉 Lurchers and greyhounds do have similar backgrounds. So, she ate the jackrabbits — didn’t share? 😀
Marvelous photos and stories from the trips!
And Thessalonica – wow a biblical city – that struck old notes for me from my seminary days.
Safe travels to you, your couriers and passengers as well.
There are so many Greek names that get your brain working on history — very ancient history!
They’re all lovely! I hope they all settle in to their new places quickly.
Thanks Clowie — we’re sure they will.
How wonderful for the animals meeting new families AND those who were reunited with their “already” families! Happy tails.
Hugs, Pam and Teddy

Are you guys bringing Dogs to USA as well? I am looking at Mid Nov timeframe to bring the puppy my brother that lives in Italy bought for my kids.
Hi Cristina, it is something we can probably do. We see you’ve sent a contact form request so will leave it to the team to reply.
