Courier Ricardo made recent pet travel trips to France, Monaco and Spain, reuniting cats, dogs and guinea pigs with their families. Given the pandemic-related restrictions in place, some had been separated for a while, which made the reunions all the sweeter.
Filou, a dog from London to the Alpes Maritimes
Adorable Filou, a Cocker-Labrador cross, made the repatriation trip with us from London to the Alpes-Maritimes in France. Filou and family had been apart since the start of the lockdown, so everyone was delighted to be back together.
Lulu, a cat from London to Monaco
Having waited to make their move to Monaco, Lulu’s family saw the opportunity when the lockdown started to ease in and around France. We received a last-minute request to take Lulu to join them and were very glad to oblige!
A cat family of 5 from France to Plymouth
We collected fab five Nettles, Marcel, Maisie, Lola and Oliver Twist from Cosy Cats Cattery in the Lot et Garonne, as owner Louise had gone on just ahead. After a short stay at Burntwood Kennel and Cattery on reaching the UK, we delivered the cats to Louise at her new home in Plymouth.
Travelling to France and Spain
A few days after returning from France and Monaco, courier Ricardo set off for France and Spain with guinea pigs, cats and dogs on their way to their families.
Lily and Lola, 2 cats from London to Rouen
Cats Lily and Lola travelled with us from London to the French city of Rouen. Owner Juan had to repatriate urgently to Valencia in Spain, but couldn’t have his cats with him. Fortunately his sister, who lives in the French city of Rouen, is taking care of them for him.
Steffi, a cat from London to Biarritz
Owner Kyo tried to take Steffi by car from London to Biarritz but was turned back in France. Kyo set off again for France, having left Steffi with a home boarder but, unfortunately, clever Steffi escaped and spend several weeks living outdoors. Once found, she was popped into a secure cattery, where she was ready and waiting for us to collect her.
Bolt, a dog from (Sweden to) the UK to Madrid
Lively Jack Russell Bolt’s journey was a rare route for us — Sweden to Spain! His journey started when courier Glenn collected him in Helsingborg, his family having gone on ahead to Spain. A sturdy little fellow, Bolt was quite unfazed by the whole thing. On arrival from our Swedish trip, he enjoyed a good long walk with courier J before getting ready to travel to Spain.
Poppy and Rudolf, 2 dogs from the UK to Madrid
Yorkshire Terrier Poppy and Labrador Rudolf belong to families who are friends from Madrid, and who work for Coca Cola in the UK. The families are spending some time in Madrid until normal working life resumes in the UK.
Capo and Bruno, 2 dogs from London to Marbella
Maria left London for Spain at the start of the UK lockdown, arranging care for her delightful Golden Retrievers, Capo and Bruno, in London. They made the journey with us to Spain to rejoin Maria and her family, who were excitedly waiting for them.
Returning to the UK with cats from Colombia and a puppy from France
Courier Ricardo headed back to the UK with a trio of cats on board from Spain, and a young pup he collected in France.
The cats joined us in Madrid, having flown in from Colombia. Their family couldn’t travel with them because of pandemic-related human quarantine regulations — they would have had to quarantine for two weeks in Spain before entering the UK. So the family flew straight to the UK, while we arranged for our vet colleagues in Madrid to meet and clear the cats on arrival, and provide them with legal EU pet passports.
All three cats are simply beautiful — as you can see in these photos shared by their family.
