Couriers Paul and Glenn set off from the UK to France, making the crossing from Portsmouth to Caen. On board were pets heading to France, Spain and Portugal. Along the way, they collected pets making the return journey to the UK.
Loki and Miel, 2 kittens from Kent to France
We collected a divine pair of Siamese kittens, Loki and Miel, from their breeder in Kent. Cath and Chris were waiting to roll out the welcome mat for them in sunny South Vendée.

Proud new parents Cath and Chris welcome Loki and Miel to their new French home
Twig and Truffle, 2 cats from Wales to France
Phil and Joan were planning to relocate from France to Wales. So just before lockdown we collected their cats Twig and Truffle and took them to a cattery in Wales, while Phil and Joan completed the sale of their French house. Unfortunately, their new home in Wales fell through, so they’ve decided to find a home to rent in France for a while longer.
Twig and Truffle made the journey back to France with us, for a stay at Chenil des Lauriers, a kennels and cattery we know well, while Phil and Joan finalise their new home ready to receive them.

Paco, a dog from London to Spain
Lovely Mini Schnauzer Paco belongs to Juan Luis and family, who’ve relocated from the UK to Santander. The pandemic-related lockdown means that Paco had a longer than expected wait in London before he could join his family Spain.

Paco absolutely delighted to be reunited with his family
Oscar Wilde, a cat from Kent to Portugal
Oscar Wilde, a rather handsome tabby cat, travelled with us from Kent to Nazare in Portugal for a reunion with owner Elizabeth. Courier Paul reports that he’s well named, as he had plenty to say on the journey!

Happy to be back together — Oscar Wilde and Elizabeth
Sapphire, Ripply, Ama and Caesar, 4 cats from the UK to the Algarve
Tonya and Colin have been engaged for a long time, and their marriage plans were finally coming together when Covid-19 struck. Tonya has been in Portugal all along, and is now able to pick the planning process back up. Part of that is getting the couple’s four amazing Burmese cats to the Algarve, which is where Animalcouriers came in. We collected them from Scotland and Devon and they had a short holiday in a cat hotel before completing their journey to Portugal.

Sapphire — simply stunning

Tinker, Billy and Bobbins, 3 cats from North Lincolnshire to Spain
Natalie left the UK for Spain before the lockdown, so hasn’t seen her beloved cats for ages. Tinker, Billy and Bobbins travelled with us from Grimsby to the Costa Blanca, where they’ll soon notice a difference in the weather!

Such happiness as Tinker, Billy and Bobbins reach their new Spanish home
Bailey, a kitten from London to Spain
Darling Siamese kitten Bailey travelled with us from London to Tarragona in northern Spain

Looks like Bailey is in for a lot of love
Bess, a dog from Gibraltar to the UK
Labrador Bess hopped on board in La Linea for her journey to the UK, where she homeboarded with us briefly until her family were able to collect her.

Charming girl Bess

Lenticchia, a dog from Malaga to West Sussex
Cute Jack Russell Terrier Lenticchia belongs to Soren, who’s had to wait quite a while to be reunited with her as lockdown put paid to so many plans. Fortunately, Lenticchia has been in the capable hands of Viv and Pam in Alhaurin until she could travel with us.

Viv and Pam giving Lenticchia a proper send-off
You’ll all have to behave with that many cats running the show!
Well spotted Clowie — we were on our best behaviour 😀
It’s a shame that Covid has postponed reunions and new beginnings but things are beginning to move again – glad to see so many happy faces!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
It’s caused some heartache but, as you say, things are starting to ease a little.
So many cats – wow! Beautiful ones all – happy for reunions!!
Always safe travel wishes from across the pond!
The cats did indeed hold sway on this journey. It was a little calmer for it 😉
Happy Travels
All happy to get there.
We’re happy that they’re all together now 🙂 It’s so sad for all of them when they can’t be together for a long time because of external circumstances :'( Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend and Safe Travels ahead 🙂 <3
It is a relief that long waits are starting to end.
What a nightmare when the house you’re looking to buy falls through. Fingers crossed for Phil & Joan in finding a new home in Wales soon. I’d happily swap them – my place for staying in France
I love that Elizabeth called her cat Oscar Wilde, that’s so cute!
Caz xx
Hard enough to move at the moment but losing a sale now is very difficult. Oscar Wilde was a very chatty fellow!

Not an easy time for anyone at the moment!
These are lovely animals, Annie! Animal Couriers has done an exceptional job during the lockdown. Thank you!
Thanks Lavinia. We have been very lucky to have been able to continue our work. Many others haven’t.
I bet y’all are quite experienced in herding cats! 😀
Ha, ha, ha! Seen that video 😀
