A number of our couriers have recently been on road trips with pets in the UK and Europe to reunite them with their families.

We spotted this rather wonderful artwork in Surrey
Nipton, a dog from the Czech Republic to the UK via Paris
Courier Richard drove to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport to collect Nina and her seven-month-old Yorkie, Nipton. They flew in from Prague just before the Czech Republic enforced Covid-19-related travel restrictions.
Nina is a costume designer who works on location for popular series like Game of Thrones. While working in the Czech Republic she adopted Nipton who was one of many dogs rescued from a puppy farm in a raid instigated by a Czech charity. Nipton’s life certainly changed for the better when Nina took her on! Weighing in at just 2kg, Nipton is a quiet little bundle of fun.
From Paris courier Richard took Nina and Nipton to Hastings, where Nipton will experience the seaside for the first time.

Nina sent us this photo of adorable Nipton during the planning process

Big hugs for Nipton with Nina
Valkyrie, a cat from London to Devon
Courier Paul transported gorgeous tabby cat Valkyrie from London to rejoin her owner in Devon.

A very happy reunion for Valkyrie in Devon
Cookie, a dog from London to the French Alps
Courier Ricardo collected darling Cookie in south London, where she was staying with friends of her family. Her destination was Méribel in the French Alps, where her family were overjoyed to welcome her.
Mum Valerie wrote to say:
“Just a quick email and pics to thank you, all the team and Ricardo of course for bringing us Cookie — you have made 2 children & a dog extremely happy during these difficult times!! I hope you all stay safe and well! Thanks a million!!”

very happy family

Mollie, a dog from London to Scotland
Courier Paul collected charming Border Terrier Mollie in London. She travelled with us to rejoin her owner in Edinburgh.

Mollie delighted to be back in the arms of her dad
Toby, a cat with a new home in Henley on Thames
Handsome ginger tabby Toby joined us at the end of February as his owner needed to move into a care home. Toby needed to board with us for a few weeks so that his vaccinations could be brought up to date, and he could have a dental and health checkup.
Unfortunately his owner wasn’t able to have him in the care home, so we started looking for a new home for him. The good news is that his owner’s daughter stepped in to adopt him permanently. Even better, she lives near her dad’s care home, so will be able to take Toby in to visit from time to time. What a happy outcome!

Toby, a super friendly puss. His favourite activity is to weave in and out of your legs until you pick him up!
Such happy stories……….even poor Toby whose owner had to go in a care home gets the best of outcomes with still being able to see his owner AND have a safe new home. Life goes on in spite of the times – we hope your couriers stay safe………….
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
Happy endings are important at the moment!
That looks like another set of lovely passengers. I’m glad Toby will be safe and still see his person.
I love the art on the van!
Toby has ended up on his paws again. Such a shame it’s short-lived art!
Toby looks like a really sweet kitty. Happy pups, kitties and people.
Courier J rather fell for Toby.
Beautiful passengers, Annie. I am glad Toby was adopted by family and will get to visit his dad in the care home.
Toby’s Dad will be very glad to see him when it’s possible again.
Wonderful, wonderful stories and photos – I would like to kidnap Nipton in all of his adorableness but instead will be glad for his new home!
Thank you for bringing me a smile today with the stories and pictures.
I hope you will be allowed to travel as long as you and your couriers are all safe, too. Hugs to all
He’s a tiny and lovely bundle of pup! Thanks Sheila, we do what we can but it gets harder and harder 😉
so glad all are safe.
Thanks Jovina.
In tha first photo, Annie, Nipton looks to me like a small dog with a large dog head! 🙂 Hope you are all being safe as you continue your important work. Take care. –Curt
You’re right, must be the perspective. He’s really rather well in proportion.
Nipton looks like a small dog with a big dog’s face in that first photo, Annie. 🙂 Hope you all are safe. –Curt
