Can you offer a new home to Clara or Oscar from Greece? These two delightful, affectionate dogs have been rescued, taken care of, trained and socialised by Rebecca of Lesvos Stray Dog and Cat Adoptions.

Now, with the cold winter weather approaching, Rebecca is desperate to find permanent loving homes for them. If you’re interested in adopting either Clara or Oscar, please contact us at ask@animalcouriers.com

New home: Oscar (L) and Clara (R)

Oscar (L) and Clara (R)

Both Oscar and Clara are great with people, other dogs and cats. They are in good health, and have up-to-date vaccinations and pet passports — these costs have been covered by Rebecca in the hope they will soon find their forever homes. Please be aware there will be a cost attached to transporting them from Greece.

Here’s what Rebecca has to say about the Clara and Oscar, along with photos and videos of these two gorgeous dogs.

Clara, a gentle Setter

Clara was dumped in a parking area in a seaside town on Lesvos, and Rebecca has been caring for her since March.

Like all Setters, Clara is a gentle, affectionate girl. She loves running and swimming, and chases birds like a talented hunting dog. She has a low count of leishmania, which is easily controlled by a single tablet a day.

Happy-go-lucky Oscar

Oscar turned up outside the Moria refugee camp on Lesvos. Realising that no-one in the camp could take care of him, Rebecca collected him in August and has been looking after him since then.

Aged around 18 months and weighing 23kg, Oscar runs and plays like a puppy. He loves going in the water and riding in cars, and has learned about chasing birds from watching Clara. Like Clara, he gets on well with people and other dogs, and loves cats and kittens. Rebecca describes him as a gentle giant.
