Courier Richard recently made a quick trip to Spain to collect Nina’s cats and Lucy’s dogs, all heading to the UK. On his way back, the timing was perfect to scoop up last-minute addition Basil, along with his owner Hannah, in Calais.
Kate and Bianco
Super feline duo Kate and Bianco belong to Nina and Cameron, who’ve relocated to London. Courier Richard collected them in Barcelona from a friend of Nina’s who’s been looking after them for a few months. Needless to say, Nina and Cameron were very excited at the prospect of seeing their cats again. Their friend’s daughter, on the other hand, was understandably sad to see them go.

Beautiful Kate — like Bianco, she’s very affectionate

Bianco preferred to travel in her (clean) litter tray. At 18 years old, this senior sweetie has the right to do pretty much whatever she likes!
Monty and Lexi
Monty and Lexi from Marbella are impeccably behaved Bodegueros, a type of Spanish terrier. They belong to Lucy, whose brother has been looking after them since Lucy went on ahead to Hertfordshire.

Lovely Monty and Lexi

They will doubtless miss the view and the swimming pool…

A very happy reunion for Lucy and her dogs
Basil
Gorgeous ginger tabby Basil was a last-minute addition to the trip. Owner Hannah originally rescued him in Greece and nursed him back to health following a snake bite. Basil was rehomed to Strasbourg but didn’t quite settle in, and Hannah was missing him quite badly. So a permanent reunion was hastily arranged.
Having got Basil as far as Paris by train, Hannah found herself struggling to transport him the rest of the way to the UK. She hadn’t realised the daunting challenges around bringing him in by air or by ferry as a foot passenger. And hiring a car was going to be prohibitively expensive. Fortunately the timing was perfect for Animalcouriers to help. Hannah took the train to Calais where courier Richard collected her and Basil and drove them to the UK along with his other passengers.

Basil on board our van
Once they were home, Hannah wrote to say: “Just thought I’d send you a massive thank you for your help, my boy is more than happy to be home with me…..Richard was great!” She also sent some rather wonderful photos.

Basil meeting his two sisters. Hannah says: “He met the MAFIA, his sisters. I had them fenced off at first with lots of scent manoeuvring, then through sight.”

“Now they are slowly starting to mingle, but obviously taking things very slowly.”

“He is LOVING the good food rather than the cheap crap available in Greece! Although he troughs everything like a labrador!!!!”

Plenty of snuggles for Basil

What a handsome and fortunate fellow — he certainly seems to know he’s landed on his paws with Hannah
Oh what happy photos……everyone made their journeys, had their reunions, and all is well thanks to Animal Couriers!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Some lovely stories there!
Happy travels
Thanks
What a clever Basil! He knew he wanted to return to Hannah so he sabotaged his placement. I’m so glad he got to return to her!
Not sure who’s the more delighted!
Love the snuggle shot, AC. That is one happy cat!
Yup, cat and owner in bliss!
OMG, I think you make up these pictures – these cat pictures are priceless and as you know, I am allergic to cats so I try to reserve interaction. But on the computer, I have no allergies, and I LOVE the pictures you post of them.
So I can interact and interact…thank you very much!
Delighted that we can help your allergic reaction with digital interaction!

Yup, they’re all deeply cute 😀
Beautiful passengers, all of them. So, Basil was bitten by a snake and recovered? He is lucky to have found Hannah. She sounds like a wonderful caregiver.
Hannah fell for Basil big time. He of course owes her a big debt of gratitude and it’s all looking like being happily ever after!
