Couriers M and Paul have enjoyed a trip taking in Malta and Italy. Among our passengers were several dogs heading to the UK from Italy, as their families’ tour of duty at the NATO base in Naples comes to an end.
Bruno
Super cute Briard Shepherd pup Bruno, just two months old, travelled with us from breeder Angie in Lincolnshire to excited new owner Derek in Veneto, Italy.

Bruno enjoying a walk

We’re not sure if Bruno has heard about our ‘longest tongue’ competitions, but here he is making an early (and convincing) bid for first place!
Kobe and Fletcher
Podenco mix duo Kobe and Fletcher have been living on Gibraltar with owner Rugile. We collected them from our colleagues Automascotas at La Line de la Concepcion — just north of the border between Spain and Gib. Rugile’s work means a relocation to Malta, and her handsome boys travelled with us to join her there.

Daisy
Darling Daisy, a Springer Spaniel cross, belongs to Robin and Lesley. She travelled with us from Malta to Worcestershire.

Daisy took a real shine to courier Paul — it looked like a pretty mutual affection!

A wide smile from Daisy
Chico
Emanuele spotted Brittany Spaniel Chico living in a small cage on a piece of waste ground between two buildings. The dog was never walked, and his only shelter from the elements was a box that was too small to contain his whole body.
Emanuele managed to track down Chico’s owner, who lived in a block of flats nearby. He eventually persuaded the owner to let him buy Chico from him. Now Chico is travelling with us to join Emanuele for an immeasurably more enjoyable new life in the UK.

Despite his years of confinement, Chico is an astonishingly happy, friendly and inquisitive little chap

Here’s Chico reunited with saviour Emanuele in Surrey
Booboo and Mallery
Black beauties Booboo and Mallery belong to Sarah, who’s swapping Naples for Uxbridge. Sarah went on ahead to get everything ready for her cats’ arrival, so we collected them from the rather nice cattery at the Lega Pro Animale, a pet charity supported and staffed by kind and helpful Germans.

And finally — Mallery
Tess
Stunning Weimaraner Tess, born in Italy, belongs to NATO serviceman Andrew and family, who are leaving Italy and heading back to Yorkshire.

Calm and dignified Tess, ready for the off

Tess’s family were all present and correct to wish her ‘bon voyage’
Barnaby
Another NATO collection in Naples — Barnaby belongs to Joe and Agnes, who are on their way back to Kent.

The whole family was on hand to give much-loved Barnaby a proper send-off, and reassure him they would soon be reunited

Irresistible Barnaby

Barnaby and Tess already know each other, and were pleased to meet up on walks during our trip

We delivered Barnaby to his grandma’s house, where he soon made himself at home
Cochina
Yellow Cockatiel Cochin joined our trip in Naples. She’s the beloved companion of Giorgia, who’s swapping the Italian sun for the delights of London.

Cochina adds a dazzling splash of colour to our van. We love hearing her chirping away!

Giorgia’s partner Thomas collected Cochina from us and took her on to her new London home
oh pleease make a stop with tess at our crib… or guess what bring them all we have tuna today, so the canine and feline world will be happy ;LO)
Oh, how incredibly kind of you two! A shame we didn’t make it but everyone would have been extremely happy with the menu 😀
What a wonderful story for Chico and Emanuele – bless them both with a long and happy “together”. Love rescue stories that have happy endings. I think that the Weim-guys in Brittany would like for Tess to make a little stop in their town for a “meet and greet” !!!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
Isn’t it a lovely story. The Weim-guys sure do make some very tempting offers 😀
I am obviously partial to any pair that includes a tuxedo and a black cat. Booboo and Mallery look so much like Ody and his late brother Spilly! Cute critters, as always…
It’s a great combination. We’re sure you and Ody miss Spilly.
I hope Chico will be very happy. I’m sure that Bruno has a very good chance in the longest tongue contest and Booboo looks set for the widest eyes contest!
Ah, now there’s a suggestion for a competition!
Great post and photos!
Thank you! There were some great models to practice on 😉
All beauties
Aren’t they.
LOVE this one – of course, all the pictures of the animals are brilliant!!
But the story of Chico really moved me. If we could Pretty and I would have a rescue paradise for all the animals needing homes.
We hope someone finds each and every one of them and gives them shelter, food, and love.
We’d all end up as hoarders if our common sense didn’t kick in 🙁
I fell for Cochina… we had two cockatiels. She looks pretty relaxed and enjoying her trip. Sweet story about Chico! Awww, Booboo and Mallery ♥ Another successful group of cuties reunited with their hoomins!
They are endlessly entertaining! We love having them on board.
so many friendly
furry faces 🙂
Very friendly faces!
You do make it difficult to choose any favorites. Love all the different breeds you have here, including Cochina.
We used to try and come up with a dog or cat of the journey — funny/naughty/well behaved etc — but gave up as they’re all such characters 😉
Daisy Dog, left Malta 18th July 2019 and arrived in Worcestershire @ 2100 hrs on 22nd July. Daisy and Paul, her courier, bonded instantly. The daily pictures and updates were wonderful as we followed her adventures through Europe. A big thank you to everyone at Animal couriers for taking the stress out of the journey. Outstanding service.
Thank you very much Robin. It was a mutual love affair for Paul and Daisy! Hope all goes well with you in your new home.
Dogs have the sweetest smiles!
Cute Puppers!!!!
