Animalcouriers set off for Scotland with three cats on board heading to Edinburgh and Glasgow. On the way back, we stopped in Catterick to deliver another cat, and collected pets due to join our trip to Spain and Portugal.

Orhidea and Ramzes
This simply stunning pair of Norwegian Forest cats travelled with us on our recent trip from Greece. They belong to Katja, who’s relocating to Glasgow from Corfu.

Katja’s mum was on hand to receive Orhidea and Ramzes
Bozwick
Bozwick was originally collected by courier Ricardo in Oxford. This friendly, characterful smoky grey puss homeboarded with Animalcouriers before joining courier Richard for the trip to Edinburgh.

Sunday
Gorgeous tortoiseshell puss Sunday was adopted by Andrea when an elderly neighbour could no longer take care of her. Sunday is a sociable character who goes from door to door, and gets fed by all the neighbours. Unfortunately they tend to give her dog food which isn’t good for her, and Andrea hasn’t been able to persuade them to stop.
So Andrea is rehoming Sunday to her sister Paulette in Catterick, where another cat and two little dogs are waiting to meet her. Sunday will initially have a room to herself while she gets used to her new family.
Fun fact: both Andrea and Paulette run marathons in their spare time!

Andrea gives Sunday a goodbye cuddle

What a pretty girl Sunday is!
Penny and Luca
Penny and Luca joined our trip in Paisley. These precious cats belong to Kay, who’s relocating to Taunton. Until Kay completes her move, the cats are homeboarding with Animalcouriers.

Penny, who loves a fuss, was fast asleep when we arrived to collect her

Luca was a bit unsure at first, but soon decided to make the most of the adventure and demand fussing too!
Beau
Lovely Beau, who belongs to Allan and his wife, has the most soulful look about him! We collected him in Paisley for his journey to Andalucía in Spain, where Allan’s wife is already waiting for him.

Bubba and Betty
Jack Russell Terrier Bubba and Patterdale Terrier Betty belong to Tracey and her husband, who are swapping Doncaster for Monovar in Spain. Dear Betty has a few health problems, but Tracey provided us with comprehensive instructions on administering her meds, so we can keep up the continuity of care on the journey.

What a sweet doggie!
They are such sweet passengers! I hope Sunday cat can settle in for good with Paulette. She is a beautiful kitty.
A lovely group. We wonder if Sunday might take up marathons too? Especially if extra food is involved…
I bet few can resist giving Beau treats!
That face? Those spaniel eyes? Not a chance!
Sunday is a lucky girl! Lovely group of kitties and pups.
Isn’t she — seems to us she’s the kind of girl who will settle in quickly.
All beauties.
Thanks Jovina.
Sunday is a beautiful cat…..hope cat food will agree with her since she thinks she’s a dog (!!). HAHA Everyone else looks happy and they will be even MORE happy to be “home” – wherever that is!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
We knew a cat that shared his time between two homes. They used to send messages to each other on his collar to make sure he didn’t get two worming pills etc. Sunday’s other ‘friends’ really should have behaved better.
Wonderful group of travelers – and your couriers must be the best!
I’m curious if you started as a courier?
Oh they are! I do a spot of couriering on the side but my main job is the blog and website.
I would need a lot of spare time to run a marathon these days.
We’d need to lay down before even thinking about it.
Another great set of passengers. I bet Sunday is going to miss the neighbors. I’m forever learning about new breeds here. Had to google for a better look at the Norwegian Forest Cat. They’re quite stunning.
It’s a good thing the Norwegian Forest cats didn’t come anywhere near our house as they may have been two cats down on the journey 😉 They are very special indeed. Sunday may well miss her neighbours but it’s all for the best!
