Our first passengers of the new year travelled with courier Richard from Scotland and England to Scandinavia; with courier Ricardo from the UK to France and Monaco; and with courier Paul from Spain to England.
Scotland, England and Scandinavia
Courier Richard headed to Glasgow to collect young blonde German Shepherd Yogurt, who had proven a bit too much for owner Kiko. So she very responsibly arranged to return him to his equally responsible breeder, Kim.

A warm welcome back for Yogurt from breeder Kim in Kent, where he was also reunited with his mum and brother
In Ayr courier Richard met Cocker Spaniel Mylo and Maine Coon cross Pacino. They belong to Caleen who’s moved to Denmark with her husband, whose job has taken him there. Caleen’s mum Margaret has been looking after Mylo; she also has a Boxer of her own, so Pacino has had a peaceful stay at a cattery.
As part of the Christmas festivities at the cattery, at raffle was held, which Pacino won! So a prize tub of sweeties was delivered to Caleen along with Mylo and Pacino.

On the way back south, courier Richard called in on Jean, who breeds King Charles Spaniels in Suffolk. Four-month-old Anita and Clinton were on their way to Peter in Sweden. They follow in the pawprints of another King Charles Spaniel owned by Peter, and also bred by Jean.
It was a close-run thing with the paperwork, but fortunately the vet and Defra pulled out all the stops, and Jean had the paperwork in her hands about an hour before we arrived to collect the pups.
At the Swedish end it was another close call, as we got to Peter less than 24 hours after the birth of his fourth grandchild!

To France and Monaco
While courier Richard headed north, courier Ricardo made his way south. His first delivery was dear little Jack Russell Terrier Gary, who belongs to Chloe. She’s relocated with her partner from Glossop to Carcassonne, and we had the pleasure of reuniting her with Gary.

In Monaco we delivered delightful hounds Matisse and Georgina to Colleen, following a family Christmas in London.

The two dogs were perfect houseguests!

From Spain to the UK
Courier Paul collected three adorable dogs in Spain for UK reunions with their families.

And finally… news of Igor
Handsome English Bull Terrier Igor travelled with us from Rome to the UK, but unfortunately his owner was denied permission to have a dog. So Igor went to board with Richard at The Mardens in Caterham, Surrey, one of the kennels we use regularly.
Igor made himself so much at home that eventually an arrangement was made for him to stay at The Mardens permanently. So now he’s always on hand to meet and greet any Animalcouriers passengers who stay there.
You can read a short interview with Igor that appeared in the local press.
What a great way to start off the new year. So adorable.
Not a bad start!
Another group of beauties!
We are always blessed!
You do such good work, I’m so glad to be back reading of your adventures and meeting your lovely passengers again. The story of Igor is especially touching. <3

All beautiful passengers! Happy New Year to the Animal Couriers Team!
Happy New Year to you Lavinia!
Good to see the ducks at my favourite service station. Did you break the bank at Monte Carlo while you were there?
It’s one of our favourites too. A look but no touch in Monte Carlo 😉
Great looking group!
Aren’t they!
I am so hoping that Yogurt will find another home – such a gorgeous fellow! And the pictures of Monaco at night – wow!
Loved the entire group of first 2019 travelers! What a way to start the year for you…safe travels!
Yogurt is a lovely boy and we’re sure he’ll land on a lucky lap soon. Window shopping in Monaco is quite safe 😉
you started the new year with super cute passengers! is the cavalier on the right a cousin of Princess Leah? I’m so sorry for Yogurt but I hope the breeder will take care for her ;O)
A very lovely bunch to start our new year. We’re sure Yogurt is in the best hands and will soon find a new home.
A great start to another year of transport by AC. I’m so happy that both Igor and Yogurt who both had some disappointments were able to find their “happy place”.
Hugs, Pam
Igor and Yogurt are fine fellows and in great hands.
Pacino is gorgeous!
Is there a petition or something to campaign for Igor’s knighthood? I would like to sign if there is.
Pacino is a looker! If there was a petition, we’re sure he’d be heading for Buck Pal very soon 😀
An just think Miss Annie: CATerham has THE werd ‘ham’ inn it!! Soundss like a furabuluss place to mee! 😉
It just gets better and better!
Pacino’s expression in the settling in image is priceless? It’s difficult to imagine what that cat is thinking. Igor’s interview was really cute! Wishing all the Animal Couriers a marvelous new year. Looks like it’s off to a great start!
Pacino’s face is a picture! Hard to work it out at the best of times 😉 Thanks Gunta, 2019 started well on the road but we’re living through interesting times, all round! Happy New Year to you.
Marital status: “I am a dog.” That says it all. 🙂 –Curt
He he, doesn’t it!

Happy animals always have that effect on us!
WOW! That’s a good way to start the New Year, Annie, with such a cuteful bunch of passengers 😀 We got a little chilly when we saw the nacked legs of Gary’s folks as it is furreezing out here…*shivers*. Pawkisses for a Happy Travel ahead to all of you 🙂 <3
Not a bad way to start the year at all! We suspect that Gary’s folks had been indulging in exercise — about the only reason you’d have your legs out at the moment 😀
So fluffy!
Pacino might need a bigger bed!
