On our November and December trips around Europe we encountered all manner of festive scenes and setups. Here are just a few — from France, Spain, Portugal, Scandinavia and the UK — to give you a flavour, and to accompany our best wishes to all our clients, friends and followers for Christmas and the new year.
Goodbye Jim
We also bid a sad farewell to one of our most frequent passengers. A number of dogs travel with us regularly, but Jim and his brother Jules were our only regular feline guests. These two handsome tuxedo boys (and owner Faith) split their time between the hustle and bustle of London and the tranquillity of village life in south-west France.
Sadly Jules passed away a few years ago; just a few weeks ago Faith let us know she’d had to say goodbye to Jim, who wasn’t far off his 19th birthday. We’ll miss you, gentleman Jim!

Your Friend Lee
Sorry, we thought we were! Will go and check now… All the very best for 2019 for you and your wonderful blog!
Merry Christmas to you Annie and ALL the wonderful people associated with Animal Couriers. You have helped families stay together, helped start NEW families with adopted pets, and in general made the world a happier place. We are so sorry that Jim has joined his brother Jules because it’s always hard to lose a friend or frequent traveler but especially this time of year. Here’s to a magical holiday for you and yours AND another great year ahead!
Love and Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Thank you Pam and Teddy. It has been a full year of getting pets and people to where they need to be. We were very sad to see Jim go off to join Jules. They were a dear couple of chaps.
Merry Christmas to you and the rest of the Animal Couriers team, Annie. May you have a wonderful year ahead.
I am sorry for the loss of your old feline friend Jim, and his brother Jules before that. It is a hard time of year to to see our friends depart for the Rainbow Bridge.
And you know just what it’s like having lost Willow so recently. Hope your Christmas was as merry as it could be and here’s to a productive 2019 for you, the cats, the garden and the vines!
