It’s a busy time for Animalcouriers on the road just now, with couriers just back from travelling to France, Portugal, Italy and Sicily; and trips to Malta, Hungary, Croatia and Greece coming up.
Pickle
We collected tabby-and-white puss Pickle from Meadowbank Cattery in Arundel, West Sussex, and took him to rejoin owner Michelle in the Dordogne region of France.

Splendid fellow Pickle
Squaky, Mazuka and Lumen
This feline trio joined us in Felixstowe, heading to the Algarve in Portugal. We delivered them to the Animal Inn cattery in Guia, where they’ll wait for their owners to catch up.

A simply gorgeous cat family
Max
We stopped off in Lisbon, the Portuguese capital, to scoop up slinky black cat Max, whose new home is in West Sussex.

Handsome young Max
Six finches
Six beautiful captive-bred finches travelled with us from their UK breeder to a fellow enthusiast, Stefano, in Turin, Italy.

Friendly little birds

Vibrantly coloured plumage
Raphel
Raphel relocated with owners Claude and Christine from London to Lucca in Italy. He was a very cool customer who took travelling in his stride.

Adorable ginger tabby Raphel
Chichi
Cute little Chihuahua Chichi is the apple of owner Stephanie’s eye. They’ve left Cardiff behind and headed to Rome to live ‘la dolce vita’.

Irresistible Chichi

A very happy Roman reunion
Benji
Couriers J and M flew into Catania airport in Sicily, where they took over the van from courier Mike, who hopped on a plane to Paris Charles de Gaulle, where he met up with Benji.
Benji is a truly tiny Chihuahua, who flew to Paris from Malta. Courier Paul stopped by on his drive back from Portugal to collect Mike and Benji for the final leg of their journey to the UK.

A joyful reunion cuddle for beloved Benji
Do the birds tend to get highly agitated when being moved?
They’re surprisingly calm.
I love the photo of the kitties peaking out of their kitty house. Chichi looks a bit nervous. Pretty birds, and lovely felines.
They do look very comfy in there Chichi is teeny but coped very well — the smile on his face when reunited with his peeps is clear to see!
Some most handsome passengers…..love seeing the cats of course but tiny Chihuahuas AND finches are quite cute as well!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy too
We do love variety!
Oh, my…I don’t think I’ve seen you carrying birds?
I wonder if they like to travel, too?
All the passengers are beautiful – safe travels!
Over the years we have moved some beautiful birds but you’re right, they’re not our usual passengers.
You travel with the cutest companions.
Aren’t we the lucky ones!
All beauties.
Each and every one.
I never like to see birds in cages but I am sure that they were very well looked after.
Can understand that. They seemed a happy and noisy lot.
Planning trips to Croatia? I am so here for it!
We’re building up for a big blog on this exciting new route…!
