on the road with Animalcouriers

Flying felines: Tammy, Barney, Rosco, Domino, Sega and Coco

While our couriers have been out and about on road trips throughout the UK and Europe, courier L has been arranging flights for fabulous flying felines heading further afield.

Tammy

But first, here’s an arrival: Tammy. This gorgeous girl flew into London Heathrow airport on Turkish Airlines from Georgia, via Istanbul. Animalcouriers arranged her clearance into the UK.

Barney

Barney boarded at one of our favourite catteries, Burntwood, for a few weeks while his owners got settled in Singapore.

Barney is a very relaxed and friendly cat, and very fond of food! To make the most of his stay at Burntwood Boot Camp, his owner sent a supply of diet food for him. Barney managed to lose an impressive 0.4kg!

Animalcouriers arranged his export paperwork and his flight with BA to Singapore, where Mitchville took care of the Singaporean import paperwork and Barney’s delivery to his new home.

Barney's owner wrote to say: "Thank you for caring for Barney so well. Great news about the weight loss, he might sweat it all out in Singapore!"

Emperor Rosco

Anyone recognising that name is definitely over a certain age! Animalcouriers collected nine-month-old Rosco, a beautiful blue British Shorthair cat, from his West Country home and arranged his flight with Emirates to Melbourne, where he had a 10-day quarantine stay at Mickleham Quarantine Kennels.

What a very handsome boy!

Domino

Lovely black-and-white puss Domino also headed to the Antipodes, although her starting point was a little further west — Antigua, from where she travelled to the UK.

We organised her export paperwork, then she then flew with Air New Zealand to Christchurch, where she had a 10-day quarantine stay at Canterbury Quarantine Kennels

Sega

Striking Sphynx cat Sega swapped Crawley for tropical Tainan, a southern city in Taiwan. Animalcouriers arranged Sega’s flight with EVA as well as the export paperwork.

There was a slight hiccup as her date of birth was in European format on her export paperwork, and in American format on her import paperwork. With the help of Defra and our UK vet, the issue was soon resolved and Sega was released to her owner without too much delay.

Coco

We helped Coco, a splendid Persian cat, prepare for her move to Saudi Arabia. Coco spent the required 30 days between having her rabies vaccination and travelling to Riyadh at Burntwood Kennels, and was reunited with her owner towards the end of last month.

Coco’s owner wrote to say: “Thanks again for your help and professional service. I plan on recommending you guys to friends & family.”

They are all beautiful cats. I’m glad you’re able to get them to their new home without stressing them too much.

Cats really don’t like travel but we do our best to take as much of the stress away as possible.

What a load of beautiful kitties. Tammy’s split color on her nose reminds me of our Dine who we had for so many years.

Yes, you certainly do get an idea of her from that single photo!

We'd love to hear from you
