From Portugal and Spain with UK-bound cats, dogs and a tiny rabbit

Animalcouriers returned from Portugal and Spain with UK-bound cats, dogs and a tiny rabbit on board. Nami Cute and friendly Nami left Viseu in Portugal to join owner Stacey in Surrey. Stacey, who originally hails from South Africa, is completing vet nurse training in the UK and looking forward to working in the area. We love Nami's expressive ears! Here he is having a goodbye cuddle with Marciu, who took care of him for a few days until we called in to collect him. Nami enjoying the view from our hotel near Vélez in Malaga. After almost [...]

Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Greece, here we come

Concurrent Animalcouriers trips to Spain, Portugal, France, Italy and Greece are underway, with cats, dogs and a rabbit heading to a variety of destinations. Fluffy Gorgeous Fluffy belongs to Michelle and her husband, who live in Tarifa — about as far south in Spain as you can get. One day, young Fluffy got out of the garden and went for a wander. She was lucky enough to be found by Kathy and Adrian between Tarifa and Algeciras — so she'd gone for quite a long wander! Concerned for her safety, Kathy and Adrian decided to take her home with them [...]

To Portugal with Holly and Hogan

The family is taking an Easter break at their holiday home in Lagos, and wanted their dogs to join them. Rhodesian Ridgeback Hogan is a big friendly fellow, while Holly is a charming, bouncy girl, originally adopted from Romania. They're clearly great mates as well as much loved family pets. Gentle Hogan Lively Holly A warm welcome for this delightful pair of hounds from [...]

Two sets of animal passengers travelling south through France, Spain and Portugal

Two Animalcouriers vans left the UK recently, travelling south through France, Spain and Portugal. Given the cold weather, with a wind chill of -5C, we chose the overnight crossing from Portsmouth with Brittany Ferries, to ensure that pets and couriers were somewhere warm for the night. On arrival, Courier Marc took a westerly route towards Portugal through France and Spain, with two cats and five dogs on board. Meanwhile couriers M and Mathew drove down the eastern side of France on their way to Almeria via Barcelona, carrying five dogs, two cats and a pair of fancy rats. Our [...]
