on the road with Animalcouriers

Pets travelling to Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Greece

Courier Richard set out from the UK with pets travelling to Switzerland, Spain, Italy and Greece. On the way from Switzerland to Spain through France, he met up with couriers M and Marc to hand over three dogs heading to Italy and Greece.

Lucky

The first of two Luckies on board, Jack Russell Terrier Lucky is a true gent who lives up to his full moniker of Flack des Dunes de la Rougeve. After a spell at doggy training school in the UK, it was time to head back to his home in Switzerland.

Tigre and Potto

Super feline pair Tigre and Potto travelled from Wimbledon to Girona in Spain. They have a short wait at a cattery until owner Daniela arrives to collect them.

Lucky

Our second Lucky is a senior girl with a touch of arthritis in her back legs. It doesn’t hold her back on her walks, however — she just needed a bit of help in and out of our van. She travelled with us from Lancashire to join her owners in Alicante in Spain.

A meeting of vans near Valence

Animalcouriers tries to minimise journey times for pets. So Nevis heading to Italy, and Baloo and Lincoln on their way to Greece, travelled as far as France with courier Richard, to avoid a trip all round Spain with couriers M and Marc. Our couriers met up near Valence, where Nevis, Baloo and Lincoln were scooped up by couriers M and Marc for their onward journeys.

Nevis

Cocker Spaniel Nevis hails from Lancaster. This loveable fellow relocated to Lago Patria in Italy, to rejoin his owners who’ve been posted to the NATO base there. Owner Ben told us that Nevis’s arrival was more keenly anticipated than his own. Poor Ben!

Nevis is always very busy on his walks. Here's a rare moment of stillness!

Baloo

Delightful Golden Retriever Baloo joined us on Reigate Hill in Surrey. A returning passenger, she originally travelled with us from Greece to the UK in 2015. Now she’s on her way back to Greece for a few months.

Lincoln

Classic English Bulldog Lincoln is also travelling from the UK to Greece, to join owner Alexia who’s returning to her home country. Lincoln’s a big strong lad, but good as gold on his lead when out for a walk.

We think that Richard was more than happy with the way the meals were shared 😉 Yes, and now the snow is falling! What a winter you northerners are suffering!

We were pleased to be viewing them from afar and kept to the lower ground for our journey.

There certainly weren’t any complaints from the cats, just about the quantity 😉

A massive thank you to everyone at Animal Couriers for getting my boy Lincoln home safe to me. Thank you to those in the office dealing with my emails, Julia and Natalie and Martin; they were always quick to respond, reassure me, answer any queries and were all so patient with me! And also thank you to the guys on the road, Richard, Martin and Marc; for keeping me updated on their travels and even kindly sending me photos of my little monster. Lincoln was one happy bunny and very well looked after! I will definitely use your services again and would definitely recommend you to anyone interested in transporting their pet!
All the best to all of you!

So many lovelies! I hope you may consider a ‘Names of Pets’ book sometimes. It’s the most fun reading all they’re names and seeing their sweet faces and thinking, “yep, looks like a Lucky or Tigre or Kiara 😀 I’ve just packed my favourite cotton shopping bag into my suitcase again. Your gift has become a world traveler. Off to Australia Monday 😀 Cheers AC’s !

We must get our heads round that book as we continually meet passengers with the best name. How lovely to hear that an Animalcouriers bag is going to Australia! Have the most fantastic time — we look forward to hearing and seeing what you get up to… 😀
