While couriers M, Paul and Richard travelled round France, Spain and Portugal in December, couriers J and Huw were transporting pets from Greece to the UK.
Our first stop, however, was to deliver Akim and Nera who made the journey with us from the UK. These delightful passengers, who’ve travelled with us before, belong to Dimitri.

Dimitri and Akim reunited in Athens

Gorgeous Nera

Courier J flew into Athens airport to join courier Huw, who’d driven down from the UK with Akim and Nera. This was the airport’s take on Christmas lights!

Welcoming Christmas biscuits on arrival
Vincent
Vincent belongs to Tonia, who wanted her ‘little man’ to be with her for Christmas. Despite a metre of snow around her home in Shropshire, she managed to get to the airport and fly to Thessaloniki. There, she collected Vincent and made the six-hour trip to meet us in Glyfada so that he could get on board.

We so admired Tonia’s determination — and you can see that cute Shih Tzu Vincent was worth the effort
Misky
Old English Sheepdog Misky travelled with us from Athens to Leicester.

Gorgeous Misky arrived in style

Misky was quick to settle in for the journey
Lucy
Splendid German Shepherd Dog Lucy made the journey from Athens to Coventry.

A goodbye hug for Lucy

Lucy shows her fine profile
Ran Tan Plan and Hazelnut
These two Pointer cross dogs travelled with us from Lesvos, each having a new home to go to in Bristol. Their journeys were sponsored by the Wild at Heart Foundation.

Dizzy, Leo and Simba
Handsome trio Dizzy, Leo and Simba travelled from Lemnos to new homes in Manchester via the Manchester Dog Café. Their transport was sponsored by the Starlight Barking Trust. Our good friend Akis, who operates a pet taxi service, had to make two trips to the port to collect these three, as the first sailing was abandoned owing to bad weather.

Dizzy — a great little chap with quite a bit of Basset Hound in him!

Calm and friendly Golden Retriever Leo

Simba with Akis. If you love Setters, this Setter cross is the dog for you. Very loving, keen on humans, and bursting with energy.
Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful – another outstanding group of travelers via Animal Couriers!!
Looks like a marvelous start to the New Year 2018…safe journeys, friends.

I’m also impressed with Tonia’s dedication! Vincent is lucky.

A bunch of happy critters and two legged buddies.
Yup, everyone was jolly happy and smiling away.
I love misky’s hairstyle that’s a little like dad’s rival rod LOL. and the mama likes that someone actually named a dog ran tan plan… she always loved this name but was not brave enough to name a dog after the mischievous companion of Lucky Luke :O)))
Yes, we thought her hair was rather wonderful too! Isn’t it a great name 😀
Misky looks a bundle of fun! You’ve got some gorgeous passengers.
Misky is just about big enough to play with you Clowie!
Immediately noticed the basset hound in Dizzy! Although his paws were a bit smaller that Socrates, the basset hound that entertained us for several years. –Curt
So pleased to see Hazelnut and his sibling have come to a new home in UK. We adopted Muffin their brother and he is delightful, has settled in well with us and is a much loved pet. We are sure the same will be true of his siblings.
Oh such happy faces – human AND animal!
Hugs, Pam and Teddy
Such sweet faces on all these travellers!

We are currently in zante on holiday with 3 days left out of our week and about 12 stray kittens. One with a broken foot which has gone septic. How much would it cost per cat to bring back to the uk. Totally heartbreaking and we need to do something. Please get back to me ASAP x thank you
Hi Carly, thanks for your message. Please write direct to julia@animalcouriers.com with this information. She’ll hopefully be able to help with local contacts etc. Fingers crossed something works out!
All the very best

Just heard back from Julia, who says:
We may be able to help, but it isn’t simple. You should go to a vet, there are good vets in Zante who can advise on the ages and stages of the kittens and when they are likely to be able to travel.
It isn’t normally too hard to find foster homes for kittens, most people love them.
We would not charge by the cat but by the cage, and if they are compatible, are they little mates? Probably needing 4 cages at £400 per cage plus £19 per cat.
Hope this helps.
Hi all, do you also transport pets from UK to Greece? Thank you
Hi Deyan, yes we do. If you’d like to find out when our next trip is planned, please do send an email to ask@animalcouriers.com
Hi my name is Keith and we are looking to re-home our friends dog from Athens due to a family bereavement and they are struggling to care for her. We would like to bring her back to the uk, she is probably the size of a collie and we’re wondering if it would be possible to give usnideof the cost for her transportation
Hi Keith, yes this is something we could help with. Please do send an email to ask@animalcouriers.com with details about the dog, collection and delivery addresses and when you need the service. We’ll be in contact with the options. All the best, Animalcouriers
