As couriers Marc and Joe wended their south, reuniting pets with their owners in Spain and Portugal, new passengers hopped on board for the return journey northwards.

Frank

At La Linea de la Concepcion, outside Gibraltar, we met Frank, a very well mannered Boxer/Labrador cross. He’s relocating to Southampton with owners Maurice and Nancy.

Lily

After a night in Mojacar, staying at a delightful Parador on the seafront, our next stop was Huelva, to collect Labrador Lily. She’s is a rescue dog, for whom Christine has been working tirelessly to find a new home. Everyone’s excited that Christine’s hard work has paid off, and this ‘labradorable’ young lady is on her way to her new family in Devon.

We then headed to Ayamonte, a sweet town on the south west corner of Spain, close to the border with Portugal, where Lily and Frank enjoyed evening walks.

Luna

Luna is relocating from Lisbon with Pedro and family, who are moving to the UK for work.

Luna, Lucky, Salem and Pluto

In Marrazes, just north of Leiria, we made a sizeable addition to our passenger list: three cats, Luna, Lucky and Salem, and Pluto the dog. Pluto is actually smaller than his feline companions!

Lia

We collected Jack Russell Lia from Joana in a small town south of Porto. Lia, a rescue dog, is on her way to London where Louisa, for whom we transported Alfie last year, has offered her a new home. Louisa and Alfie are very much looking forward to welcoming the new member of their family.

Indie

After spending the night in Guarda, we headed to Madrid to collect Indie from our colleague Dr Nave of AAH vets. Indie flew to Spain from South America with her owner Christine, who is already in the UK. Because the paperwork to allow Indie into the UK was a bit complicated, we recommended Dr Nave to help. With her pet passport all in order, Indie is now on the last leg of her journey to be reunited with Christine.

Beau

We collected gorgeous cat Beau from Neil in Gava, near Barcelona. Beau and his family are relocating to Chippenham.

Timmy

When Charlotte and her family were on holiday in Spain, little Timmy found them and attached himself to them. Emily has kindly looked after Timmy since Charlotte’s holiday ended, and now he has a pet passport he is moving to Uckfield to his new forever home.

Jasper and Delilah

From Barcelona we continued north via Girona, and crossed the border into France to collect Jasper and Delilah. These splendid cats belong to Helen, who’s moving back to Torquay after a spell living in the Languedoc.

Romeo and Tiger Lily

We spent the night in Narbonne, then headed off to collect Bengal cat Romeo and his chum Lily. They belong to Harry and his family, who have moved back to the UK. While waiting for us, they’ve been in the care of Nicky Frost at MinouCats, a very peaceful cat hotel in the heart of the Dordogne.

Sonia has moved to the UK to start a new job, and now her gorgeous cat Lucky is travelling with us to rejoin her.

Dalmatian Jasper is a returning passenger, heading back to the UK from Pougne with Rachelle.
