Little dog Cookie travelled in style to Greece as our only passenger!
We crossed the Channel to Calais and decided to stop overnight a little way away, as the Jungle clearance was in full swing. Just 40 minutes away, at Lumbres, we found a golf club/hotel with rooms to spare as it isn’t high season. Lovely and quiet, it offered super dog-walking, but Cookie was a bit unsure about putting her paws down on the wet grass!

Cookie prefers a nice dry duvet to wet grass

Admiring the hydrangeas
We motored on towards Italy and managed to book into A3Passi in Ancona, one of our favourite hotels. It’s part of the ‘agriturismo’ movement, where you get to stay on working farms. On arrival, we found the olive pressing in full swing.

Here come the olives

First pressing

Green nectar

The work in the mill continued well into the night, to make sure none of the olives went a moment past their best

A3Passi’s fabulous olive oil regularly wins awards in many categories
From Ancona we took the ferry to Greece, where Cookie was delighted to be reunited with Tracy and her husband.

Ecstatic times!

Cuddles with everyone

Tracy kindly treated us to a bottle of Greek wine and this delectable assortment of chocolate mousse desserts. Obviously, we’d love to have shared the chocs with Lesley, Natalie and Theresa in the Animalcouriers office, but they simply wouldn’t have survived the journey. Rest assured, dear colleagues, that they were absolutely delicious! (We promise to share the wine with you.)
Chocolate mousse desserts…?? Count me in! 😉
We’d love to count you in Herman but you can imagine how long they lasted around us 😀
Cookie is darling. Thanks for the tour of A3Passi
Cookie rather enjoyed the personal service 😉 We love A3Passi.
Cookie you are such a lucky girl! Only 1 passenger has its benefits, it means 100% attention, no distractions and the whole van of your own… and maybe an olive for you too 😀 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂 <3
Oh, Cookie most certainly enjoyed her personal trip!
What a cutie Cookie is – and that looks like one very happy reunified family. Love the photos at the olive oil factory. Also love the chocolate mousse treats – YUM!
