Having delivered all our passengers who travelled with us from the UK, we were ready to start collecting the pets who’re leaving Greece with us.
Before that, however, there was time for dinner in Glyfada.

Joey
Cute black cat Joey belongs to Nikolaos and family. They’re relocating from Athens to Somerset, and of course Joey is going too.

Joey isn’t too sure at first about this travelling lark
Ginger and Obama
Ginger and Obama belong to Mia, who’s relocating to the UK for work and taking her beloved dog and cat with her.

Playful Ginger

Obama finally consents to pose for the camera
Sade and Phantom
These gorgeous street kittens from Athens are travelling with us to Dorset, where their new owners are already looking forward to welcoming them.

Starbuck and Tyche
Another pair of Athenian rescue kittens, this sweet twosome are off to live with Fred and Sandra in Scotland, who’re very excited about their imminent arrival.

Starbuck and Tyche (one is hiding behind the other but, if you look carefully, you can see an extra ear at the back!)
Sophie
When Andriana was over from the UK visiting family in her home town of Athens, she met and fell in love with Toufa, a dog being taken care of at the Filozoikos Shelter. Andriana renamed her Sophie and offered her a forever home in Surrey.

Jessica

Not to be confused with Jessie, above, Jessica is a gorgeous blue-eyed cat who belongs to Evangelos. She’s travelling with us to Stoke on Trent.
Cassie
Beautiful tortoishell puss Cassie belongs to Emma.

Cassie’s stunning pale green eyes
Clifford, Georgie, Squash and Coco
Genine, her Labradoodle Clifford and her cats Georgie and Squash have been on holiday in Paros, along with Genine’s sister Lolly and her Cocker Spaniel Coco. Now it’s time for this fabulous foursome, who travelled out with us in May, to go back to the UK.

We drove from Athens to Thessaloniki where our final two Greek passengers were waiting to get on board the bus.

Passing by Mount Olympus
Super Maltese Terrier Billy, who’s quite a chatterbox, is travelling with us from Thessaloniki to Worthing in Sussex. Tanni delivered him to us, and Linda is ready and waiting for him in the UK.

Yoshi
Darling Yoshi belongs to Maria, who’s relocated from Thessaloniki to Kidderminster for work. Now Yoshi’s on his way to join her.

Impressively photogenic Yoshi looking rather bored…

…then awfully interested
We made our way along Egnatia Highway, northern Greece’s main highway which goes all the way to Istanbul. It was a beautiful journey but with very changeable weather.

A very lovely crew today, Annie. The kitties all have very beautiful eyes. Looks like Jessie is practicing for a nice party horn 😀 Pawkisses for a safe trip to Istanbul 🙂 <3
Thanks Little B and Granny – weren’t they a very photogenic crew! The pussy cat eyes are truly hypnotic 😉
Beautiful eyes yoshi!
Could stare into them for hours!
Lots of passengers for the return trip.
Our Greek trips do tend to be very full on the way back. Lots of great rescue organisations finding homes for dogs and cats and of course relocations aplenty.
A lot of wide-eyed kitties and happy-looking pooches. I love the B&W in the rain and the photo of the lizard.
All the kitties had very special eyes and we wanted to share. The lizard has found a home on our header.
Oh, my goodness…you are the luckiest people in the world to have a business carrying these wonderful precious passengers around the continent.
I love that there is a cat named Obama in Greece and on the way to the UK, and I love that you have repeat passengers almost every trip, too. And why wouldn’t they come back to receive the love and royal treatment they have on their travels…Bravo!!
We love it when we have frequent travellers – they slot right back into the routine and enjoy themselves from the start. Fun to get to know them better too. Obama is a fab name for a smooth operator like this chap 😀
Ah, my morning pet fix! I so enjoy your closeups, AC. It’s like you can see into the souls of the animals. And I am glad to see the longest tongue contes continues! 🙂 Thanks as always for helping make my day. –Curt
Courier Joe took some really fine close ups this time! First time in charge of a Blackberry too 😉 We always keep an eye out for a longest tongue contestant.

Phew!
PHEW iss RITE Lady Annie!! 😉
When the animals go back to England, do they have to go into quarantine?
Luckily they don’t! With the PETS scheme in the EU, as long as they have a pet passport and a rabies innoculation at least three weeks before they travel (dogs have to have a worming treatment 56 hours before too) then they can waltz right through 😉 It was a lot harder before when they had to six months in quarantine 🙁
So many wonderful rescues here! The cats do look rather unimpressed with the whole business.
Yup, the cats are mostly not in favour of travel but they’d be mighty unhappy about being left behind 😉
Congratulations!

oh to start a tour with seafood is the best!!! and it was great to see a Boston terrier… they became rare during the last years… I wonder why, they are beautiful and so special :o)
Yes Easy, if you look after your seven stomachs, things always go well! It was lovely to travel with Dante – we don’t see many either. Lovely dogs.
You have some good looking passengers this week. 🙂
It seems we only get the best looking animals — aren’t we lucky!
I’ve been wondering where your site went to, you do not appear on my Reader page any longer! Happy to see everything is business as usual here!!
