We set off from the UK with a sweet pup and a gorgeous cat on board; and made the return trip with a passenger list of six dogs, two pups and a grande dame cat.
Betsy
Lovely Cocker Spaniel pup Betsy spent the night with courier S before the trip began, and enjoyed an evening stroll around the farm. Her new home is in the beautiful Lippiano hills near Florence
Jamie and Eddie
In Tivoli we met up with Springer Spaniel Jamie and German Shepherd cross Eddie, who been driven up from the south of Italy. Both dogs were rescued by their family and nursed back to full health. Now they’re on their way to the family’s home in Dagenham.
Dudley and Alfie
We transported this gorgeous twosome to the Nice area for their summer hols. After five weeks of Mediterranean sunshine, it’s time for these mini Dachshunds to go home to Wimbledon.
Your posts always have a entertaining mix of animal travelers, food, views and unexpected encounters — but now your even bringing in the Olympic gold! Haha!
Courier S was beside herself with joy to rub shoulders (so to speak) with Big Star!
You had a real load this time, and even got to mix with a star horse. Great looking breakfast and wonderful views.
It was a great trip and the icing on the cake was to park up by Big Star. The couriers didn’t do too badly with eye candy and nourishment 😉
Love the views and all those wonderful faces.
It was a particularly beautiful route.
Wow Annie those photos took my breath away…the Alps are so majestic. And that breakfast looks like it was divine.
All the dogs & cats look so calm & serene travelling!! You & the Couriers do an amazing job!!!
Thank you for being patient; I am so far behind visiting here ( & many other blogs). Please know I totally enjoy your blog….I have to visit more often!
(((hugs))) & good wishes, Sherri-Ellen & Purrince Siddhartha Henry
Hey, great to hear from you two! We’re rather behind our fave blogs at the moment too 😉 Will pop by to see how you are both doing…
Oh what fabulous photos of places AND faces!! I just love seeing the world through your posts and all the joy owners of pets have when they reunite with them or even welcome them after a rescue to their “forever home”. What a TREAT to run into an Olympics champ on the road too!
Hugs, Pam and Sam
It was a great trip and meeting an Olympic champ was very special!
The views from Smidgen’s place are fantastic!
You have a gorgeous assortment of passengers for this trip.
That view is quite incredible — Smidgen is a lucky girl!
If Smidgen ever needs a person to take his place, I think I could handle that view for a few days!
Think there might be rather a lot of house sitters applying for that job!
Glad you’re back, Annie and lots of cute passengers too 🙂 Great to see you . Hope you had a wonderful vacation and rest 🙂 Pawkisses for a Happy WW 🙂 <3
Thank you Little B and Granny! Had a fab break and raring to go again 😀
Oh my goodness Ms Annie, so many sweet passengers. And Smidgeon has such a fab garden
Thanks Savvy – they were a lovely lot!
It’s always fun to read about the wonderful furfriends you so carefully transport, and getting to see a few of the sights is an added bonus. Switzerland was home to my ancestors so I was delighted to get a peek of the grand Alps. Thanks as always for sharing!
Always a pleasure to share! Thanks for the lovely visit.
Such a beautiful place and happy animals
We were very lucky with the beautiful places and passengers.
Lovely pics of both animals and places.
Glad you enjoyed the post – we did get to carry some lovely animals and visit some great places.
What an exciting trip! Beautiful passengers, spectacular scenery, wonderful food and a star horse and rider!
It was a lot of fun and meeting that special horse was the icing on the cake.
