Here at Animalcouriers we have two trips on the go: this one carrying passengers to France and Italy, and the other one dedicated to pets from Greece (we’ll update you on that trip shortly). But before setting off for France, we travelled as far as Scotland to collect and deliver pets.
Winnie
We collected fluffy Pomeranian Winnie in London, who’s relocating to New Zealand. She travelled with us to Sussex, where she’ll have a short stay in kennels until she flies to Auckland in August. Her owner has flown on ahead to get everything ready and is already excitedly planning for her arrival.
Super smart Winnie and her pink collar
Lucy and Katja
These two lovely cats travelled with us on our recent trip from Nice. After a short spell homeboarding with Animalcouriers, it was time to undertake the final leg of their journey to Edinburgh, where their new Scottish home was ready and waiting for them. Owner Olga wrote to say:
“Thank you very much for your help. Cats are in good mood and good health. Thanks to courier S for her great attitude. Very kind of you to transport Katja and Lucy from Nice all the way to Edinburgh. You have done a fantastic job.”
Minander Kiara (aka Tilly)
It was a real treat to meet this dainty Singapura cat. Although three years old, she’s hardly bigger than the average kitten! We collected her in Motherwell for her journey to Bilston, where she’ll join a family of Singapuras. The hope is that one day she may have a litter, to help maintain this rare and delicate breed of cats.
On our trip to France and Italy we’re using our brand new van, dubbed ‘Baby Sprinter’. It’s a smaller version of our big Mercedes Sprinter, customised and kitted out in much the same way to keep our passengers and couriers comfortable on their European jaunts.
Several of our passengers are on their way to the French Riviera, and we know security will be tight around the motorway exits following the terrible events in Nice. We’re thinking of all the affected families as we head south.
We’ll introduce Baby Sprinter properly in a separate post. In the meantime, meet our France- and Italy-bound passengers.
Rocco
18-month-old Weimaraner Rocco is a returning client, on his way from the UK to join his family for their summer holiday in Grimaud. Rocco seemed to know exactly what to do as he hopped into his compartment.

We were joined for breakfast in Le Muy by a very friendly local Mastiff, who seemed to enjoy the titbits of croissant we shared with him
Trixie
Our smallest passenger — smaller even than Simba the cat (see below) — Trixie is going away for the summer to Cap d’Antibes. Trixie’s owner, Lee, is still in London, so we’ll be handing this cute little girl to over to her grandma.
Alfie and Dudley
A gorgeous pair of long-haired mini Dachshunds, these two firm friends are travelling from Wimbledon to the Nice area for their summer vacation.
Simba
Handsome Norwegian Forest Cat Simba is another returning client. Last year he travelled with us from Italy to Scotland, where dad Andrea has spent six months on a mathematics research project. Now it’s time to make the return journey to Florence.
Gorgeous photos and the layout looks great. Love all those smiley faces.
They are all very smiley shots!
Nice Scottish view….and cakes too.
Hard to take a bad Scottish view. Courier S does take great pleasure in photographing food opportunities.
What a cute lot of passengers. The cakes and pastries look tasty.
They are a particularly cute group. The cakes and pastries are a dangerous test for any courier coming upon them 😉
oh maybe you can stop at my crib when Rocco is on the way back to UK? … and I never saw a singapora cat, it looks like a feline weimaraner, how great!!!… the cakes look eggs-tremely tasty… but what decision? Take all :o)
What a combination you and Rocco could make! Love your description of a Singapura being a feline Weimaraner. We have no idea how courier S managed to choose but luckily she doesn’t have seven stomachs and couldn’t eat them all 😀
Rocco and Easy would make a real dynamic duo! Everyone looks so happy and comfortable for their travels with Animal Couriers and when they have their reunions with their families – EVERYBODY smiles!
Hugs, Sammy and Mom Pam
Dynamic or dangerous? 😀
lovely animals and desserts, I want them all.
We don’t know how courier S managed to choose!
I see we miss a lot over here in America when it comes to tea time in Scotland…do you ever think of transporting two-legged animals who might pester you with questions?? If so, sign up Pretty and Slow for the trip.
We hope for safe travels across France and Italy and every other country whose borders you cross.
Thanks Slow. It would be such fun to travel round Europe with fellow bloggers and animal lovers 😀
I like that idea of traveling with you van with all the wonderful passengers.
What fun that would be but your back wouldn’t forgive you 😀
All beautiful passengers. The Singapuras are really strikingly beautiful.
Yes, I bet those Scottish teatime decisions could be deadly!
The dangers of travelling through countries and being offered the best of their delicacies!
Many thanks for bringing Sophie in from italy for me . Super service will use again
Hi Di, thanks for your kind words. Sophie was a pleasure to travel with!
