Couriers J and M have set off from the UK with dog and cat passengers heading for the sunnier climes of Spain and Portugal. We’re so busy on this outbound trip that we’ve enlisted the help of courier Mike to take five more cats to France. More on that trip in a separate post.
Both Animalcouriers vans reached St Malo in time to see a stunning sunrise. We found a good spot to walk the dogs, give everyone breakfast and carry out room service. Then couriers J and M set off towards Pamplona, while courier Mike headed for the Dordogne.

The family of five cats and two dogs belong to Christine, and are on their way to join her in Spain. We met four of the cats in September 2014, when they travelled with us from Spain to the UK. Mongo was a homeless cat at the time, who managed to do such a good impersonation of Whiskey that there was a mix-up at the cattery. Kind-hearted Christine was so touched by his story that she decided to adopt him!
Now Christine and her expanded pet family are on their way back to Javea in Spain.

Tilly and Loki
Tilly and Loki belong to Rebecca, who’s moved to Benidorm, where she has a job in a nightclub. We collected her cats from her mum, Susan, in Sussex, and they’ll soon be reunited with Rebecca.

Springer Spaniel Molly and Shih Tzu cross Lacey are traveling from Hampshire to Palencia in Spain. They were seen off by owner Elite’s friend Dave. Elite hasn’t seen her dogs for a little while so she’s very excited to know that they’re on their way.

Gixr and Esme are moving with Alexander and Valerie from Aberdeenshire to live at a golf resort in the Murcia area of Spain.

Black Labrador Lucas is moving from south London to Murcia in Spain. Owner Peter brought him to us ready for his journey. He’s on his way to join Peter’s sister and mother, who’re already living in Murcia.

This glamorous trio of Persians are relocating from East Sussex to Lagos in Portugal. They’ll have a short stay with Heather and Alan at Barking Mad Kennels and Cattery, before being reunited with owners Andy and Elaine.

Loved reading Mongo’s story and I bet her furry family have racked up some miles
Mongo’s story is really lovely and makes us smile each time we think of it! The family is certainly racking up miles but let’s hope they’re good in Spain for some time to come.
