Rebecca from Lesvos Stray Dog and Cat Adoptions has asked us to publicise a tiny handful of the dogs who’ve been rescued from the streets of Lesvos, and are in urgent search of forever homes.

Even if you’re not in a position to adopt a dog yourself, your help to publicise their stories more widely or to drum up donations to the charity would be very welcome!

If you can offer a home to one of these dogs in need or would like to make a donation towards their care, please contact Rebecca at lesvosstraydogcatadoptions@gmail.com or through us at ask@animalcouriers.com.

Lia

Small and affectionate, around 18 months old, Lia was found dumped at a campfire location where volunteers are based.

Winston

Around two years old, Winston was found living on the streets. He’d clearly been hit by a car at some point, as he holds one of his front legs up. His shoulder and leg muscles need physiotherapy but it’s unlikely he could ever use his leg again. So he needs a home without much walking — just a small garden, say — and comfy places to sit.

Luna

Four-month-old Luna is one of a litter of three puppies from a dog a Danish woman fell for while on holiday late last year. Unfortunately her adoption has fallen through, so Luna is now looking for a new home.
