Some of the pets from our latest trip from Greece via Italy and Switzerland have already been reunited with their owners. We also have news of reunions for passengers who journeyed with us from Spain and Portugal in February; and of Oskar who travelled to Sweden.

Smudge and Mia

We delivered these two cute kittens from sunny Lesvos to owner John in Dewsbury. This agile and entertaining pair of felines look set to keep John and partner Kerry very busy and amused.

Aretha

We reunited lovely Lab cross Aretha with Christiana in the winter sunshine outside Leeds railway station. Some quality rebonding time was ahead, as they travelled together to Edinburgh by train.

Rasty, Naomi and Liz

Maltese Rasty, Belgian Shepherd Naomi and Cocker Spaniel Liz were reunited with Antonis in Nottingham. To our surprise, it was warmer and sunnier there than when we set out with them from Athens!

Laurie

Little Laurie the Shih Tzu from Bologna reached Leeds with us, where he was reunited with owner Louika.

Coco

It was a heartwarming meeting for blue-fronted Amazon Parrot Coco from Switzerland and original owner Karen, after many years apart. Coco was Karen’s pet for several years until 1971, and the last time they saw each other was in 1991! Coco’s move to the UK was orchestrated by Karen’s daughter Sharon.

Sky and Sushi

Gisela and her partner were reunited with their cats Sky and Sushi, who travelled with us from Portugal last month. They were over the moon that their two cats had coped so well with the journey — in fact, they were completely relaxed and confident.

Baco and Shuba

These two young Portuguese Waterdog pups also travelled with us last month from Alan and Heather at Barking Mad Kennels on the Portuguese Algarve. They homeboarded briefly with courier J before continuing their journey to Belfast with courier Rickie, where their new home is with Alan’s sister Anne and her family. Anne wrote to tell us:

“We’re delighted to finally have the pups here and though early days they seem to be settling OK. Can I pass on our big thanks to you and your colleagues for getting the pups over here to Northern Ireland.”

Mikey

Cool cat Mikey was also Northern Ireland-bound, having travelled with us from Spain. Courier Rickie met owner Niall in Dublin, with Niall taking Mikey the rest of the way to Cork by train. Mikey’s cat carrier had two bust zips, so there was a bit of a concern that Mikey wouldn’t be safely contained on the train. Courier Rickie managed to find a box for Mikey — quite a challenge as he’s a fairly sizeable chap! Niall emailed us to say:

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of Mikey from Spain to the UK. He is very well and settling in here in Cork. Thank you also to Rickie who was a lovely guy and who looked after Mikey on his trip from the UK to Dublin. I will recommend your business to anyone who is seeking pet transport.”

Oskar

While scheduled trips to and from southern Europe were happening, courier Marc made a bespoke trip from the UK to Malmö in Sweden with Laura and her gorgeous Husky/Malamute hound. Laura got in touch to say:

“Thank you so much for arranging the trip for Oskar and me to Sweden. We are settling in nicely! Marc really went above and beyond getting us from the UK to Sweden in one day, and was so kind and thoughtful. I’ll definitely recommend Animalcouriers to anyone I know who is transporting their pet. I really appreciate your getting me there with such short notice.”
