We delivered Karen and Phil’s five dogs — Max, Jake, Loopy, Maisie and Poppy — to Les Hirondelles kennels and cattery at Lauzun. The dogs will have a short stay here until their owners catch up with them. The hounds enjoyed a fine gallop around an enclosed paddock, and the kennel owners kindly allowed our other canine passengers to do the same.

From there we headed to Provence to drop off handsome tabby cat Bilbo with his family. We then crossed into Italy and spent the night at La Spezia in Liguria.

The following morning we delivered lovely Boxer Missy to her owner Mirella in a village near Pistoia.

We also popped into the vet as the four dogs travelling to Malta needed to have their parasite treatments done.

We then made our way into the beautiful Tuscan hills where gorgeous cat Star’s family were waiting near Casteldelpiano. It’s probably even more beautiful when it’s not blowing a gale and pouring with rain!

We took a ferry tide across the Straits of Messina to Sicily, then boarded a hydrofoil to Malta to deliver family of six Cara, Lola, Liz, Sasha, Fifi and Priha to their waiting owners.

Oh my it’s made from marbles… how great… it’s like that horse of troy lol. is the boat with “guardia di finanza” really a boat from tax office? seems they are everywhere :o)
Not sure exactly how comfortable the rocking horse would be – might slip off! Yup, those tax men are everywhere.

You certainly get around and the animals always look happy in your care. Etna is a magnificent backdrop to all those fields.

I can see they all had lots of fun in the paddock. They are so gorgeous and it was so nice of the kennel owners to allow them space to have some fun.

That rocking horse is amazing! Individual marbles can be so beautiful, but you don’t see them much anymore.
