Animalcouriers recently arranged flights and paperwork for three adorable dogs heading to New Zealand: Lolita to Auckland, Moss to Christchurch, and Shuie to Wellington. Read on for their stories…
Lolita from Spain
Old English Sheepdog Lolita travelled with us from Spain to the UK just before Christmas, and has now flown to join her owners in Auckland.
Lolita is a fine bouncy young dog, who has cheerfully taken everything in her stride. She spent Christmas and January at Burntwood Kennels, and Alfold Vets did her blood tests and paperwork. On arrival, she had to spend 10 days in quarantine before owners Joy and Mike could introduce her to New Zealand.

Lolita just back from the vets — don’t be fooled by the sunshine, this was a freezing cold day in the UK in early February!
Moss from the UK
Moss is a trained New Zealand Huntaway. He flew to join his owner Adam, who’s moved to the South Island to work as a shepherd. Having completed his quarantine stay, Moss has started work on the farm, which is in fantastic countryside midway between Queenstown and Dunedin.
Shuie from Bali
Shuie started life in Bali, where she was rescued from the street by Kate. Kate flew Shuie to the UK so that she could be prepared for her move to New Zealand. During her stay in the UK, Shuie was fostered by Beth while her paperwork was prepared.
Kate wrote to say:
“Just wanted to thank you for all of your help with Shuie’s export. Regardless of requiring a shipping company to do the whole thing, I really couldn’t have gotten through the whole process without you specifically.”
I’m glad they all are together with their furmilies now… that quarantaine-time must be hard for the pups… but 10 days sonds moderate to me, there are countries where they have to wait much longer… I’m still a fan of the old english sheep dogs, they were probably the best thing I remember from the 80’s… I even planned to marry a tv-guy who had such a dog LOL
Quarantine is hard but at least this was only 10 days. We all fell for Old English sheepdogs in the 80s – be they selling paint or hunky chaps!
That shot of Moss is incredible! A dreamscape for a pup.
The texture of the landscape is wondrous.
I love the way the photos look on your new web page design.
Thank you Jovina — we do get to show them much bigger too.
That picture of Moss against the landscape is stunning
Spent ages gazing at it while putting the post together – just wonderful.
Although the dogs were fine, the landscape was brilliant.
Left feeling we’d like to go visit that landscape.
It’s always so great to see them with their families and I bet they have so much fun travelling with all of you as well AC. Stunning photos and the one of Moss is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and for taking such great care of all these furries and bringing them together with their loved ones. 😀 ♥
We do love it when we get news of passengers when they’ve arrived at their far-flung destinations. Moss in that landscape makes us want to go visit him!
lovely 🙂
They are a lovely lot!
Happy gang! Beautiful pictures.
I want to join Moss on the farm!
Yes, what a place to live!
I love that picture of Moss against all that rolling green landscape – it makes my paws itch for a run!
Shuie looks very happy with her biped. I hope Lolita has a great time as well.
Can you imagine running in those hills Clowie? What fun that would be.
That is some beautiful countryside for those dogs to work in! The rolling grassland reminds me of eastern Oregon / eastern Washington state here. Those will be happy dogs!
Isn’t it stunning landscape! Happy pups indeed.
