After reuniting pets with their owners in Spain, we crossed the border into Portugal to collect a fine group of passengers who’re travelling to the UK with us.
Pluto
On the Algarve we met Cocker Spaniel Pluto at Estoi. He’s been through some tough times in his short life, but now he’s off to live happily ever after with Joy in Surrey. Lena and her friend, who’ve been looking after Pluto, were in tears as they said goodbye to him. We were pleased to reassure them that Joy is very excited that he’s on his way to her.
Baco and Shuba
Next we called in on our friends Alan and Heather at Barking Mad Kennels, also on the Algarve, to collect a pair of reprobate pups. These young Portuguese Water Dogs were adopted by Alan’s sister Anne when she visited Alan and Heather last month. These lucky pups’ new home is in Belfast.
Heather and Alan telling Baco and Shuba to be good dogs and not to show the family up with naughty behaviour!
Jecca
We collected gorgeous four-month-old Jecca from Emma in Saõ Luis. Emma runs a riding business and looks after horses and dogs with her partner. Jecca is on her way to Emma’s mum Angela, who used to live in Saõ Luis but is now back in the UK.
We were somewhat startled to see a bright orange snake sitting in a tree — until we realised it’s a decoy to keep birds off the ripening fruit!
Sushi and Sky
We met up with Gisela’s dad at her address, where her cats Sushi and Sky were looking out for us from the window with their bags all packed and ready. Gisela left for London yesterday morning, and it won’t be long before her adorable cats join her there.
Great photos……the storks have taken over that tower but what a GREAT spot for their nests! That yellow snake decoy is a bit STARTLING but serves a wonderful purpose. Hope all the animals have a good trip !
Pam and Sam
Storks are very inventive in the places they take over for their nests. We love seeing them en masse like this. The snake certainly made courier J stand back and think twice about progressing 😀
O maybe you can bring Jecca to me?… she is a super cute pup! the snake looks like real, that beast would make a great halloween-trick :o)
Jecca would be such a great companion for you Easy but we think Angela might be a little disappointed if she went awol 😉 Maybe Mom will find a similar snake at her favourite shop?
Another lovely bunch of pets, with some fun people in the mix.
The fun people do keep us amused on the road.
One of those lovely water dogs made a visit to Dad in hospital; three years old & still a bouncy pup
Bet your Dad loved that! They are gorgeous dogs.
Great close ups and the cover photo is attractive – wild flowers galore.
Those wild flowers were simply special – went on for ever and ever.
Such cute babies. And I’ve never seen storks making nests before – so awesome. And that snake – OMP – I think I wet myself a little when I saw it – snorts. I don’t care if it wasn’t real – XOXO – Bacon
What is it about snakes? Your brain knows it’s a decoy but then doesn’t trust itself 😀
Jecca is beyond cute! The snake would scare me away! Storks making nests — You mean they provide temporary housing as well as delivery service? Kind of sounds like AC! 🙂
Ha ha ha – what a lovely idea about storks! Jecca is not just cute she’s learning fast – didn’t know about leads when she got on board and now thinks walks on a lead are just perfect.
I cannot wait to be reunited with my Sushi and Sky…they are my son and daughter
Such beautiful children you have! Won’t be long now.
Awe, those faces! Just darling…
A gorgeous bunch on this trip.

Jecca is doing wonderfully and is now walking on a lead perfectly. Thunder is no doubt happy to be an only child 😉 A relief he settled so quickly. Thanks, all doing well and won’t be long before Jecca arrives with your mother.
Oh, my…we do so undertand the tears of Lena and her furriend. It is just so hard to leave them behind..even if they’re in good hands 🙂 Jecca is so cute, he stole our hearts today <3 Pawkisses for a Happy Journey 🙂 <3 <3
It is very hard to say goodbye. Jecca is delightful 😀
A whole lot of cuteness going on.
So many puppies on this trip. Mind you, you’re surrounded by them too!
It’s a wonder Shuba can see anything. Another great bunch of travelers.
And that hair will grow and grow!
Superb nose shots today and I really like the photo of Alan with Baco and Shuba. –Curt
We adore the noses. Alan did very well to hold those two in such a relaxed manner. They’re squiggly and wiggly most of the time 😉
Hope they all have a good trip
That snake is a bit worrying when you first see it!
You have a lovely collection of passengers again!
Love the pictures of all. The storks are amazing 🙂
Beautiful passengers, all of them! I love the button noses. You could have the cutest nose contest right along with the longest tongue contest!
That closeup of Jecca is a keeper!!! Love her face and tickled to see another staffie mix with such gentle eyes! The water dogs are beauties too…but sound like a handful 🙂
