Animalcouriers has set off on a pre-Christmas trip to southern Europe. We left the UK with seven well loved pets on board: four dogs and three cats.

Tabby cat Rikki is a suave fellow from Wales, who’s heading to the Carcassonne area in south-west France to join Mark.

Cute Westie Cloud belongs to Aurora and Jose. The whole family is returning from the UK to Santander on the north-west coast of Spain.

Black Cockerpoo Misty was bred in Colchester and has an excited new owner waiting in the Spanish city of Elche. (Sorry about the photo, it’s so hard to do justice to black pets against dark backgrounds!)

Courier Mike collected lovely Kurco in Preston and he homeboarded with courier J for a few nights before we set off. Kurco travelled from Spain to the UK with us in December 2012, and now it’s time for him, along with his owners Immaculada and Jose, to head back to Plasencia.

Fluffy little Dory is travelling from Dorset to join Patrick in Vigo. Patrick, an author, is looking forward to being inspired by Spain.

Mia is travelling from the Dorset area to Chiclana de la Frontera in the province of Cadiz. Here are Angela (and her husband) wishing Mia a good trip — they’ll be waiting for her in Spain.

A closer look at gorgeous Mia

Like Kurco, handsome ginger tabby Tigger homeboarded with Animalcouriers for a few days, as his owner went on ahead to Alicante. He’ll be waiting for Tigger with his favourite nosh, as Tigger isn’t too keen on eating while we travel. We’re doing our best to tempt him with Spanish sardines, so who knows!
Mia your eyes!!!! that’s the look for Santa…>:o)
Yes, with eyes like that she’ll get anything she wants!
Safe travels all, have a good day.
Thanks guys, you too.
All a bunch of cuties. Rikki doesn’t look too happy, but he’ll love the Carcassonne area. Mia looks so sweet and Kurco is surely a wise guy.
Rikki stuck it with great stoicism and is has no doubt forgotten about the whole episode by now.
Sweeties!
All of them!
This will be our beautiful girl Lolita in a few days as she embarks on a very long journey to get her to New Zealand in February. Not sure how we are going to survive without her but we know she will be in excellent hands along the way.
We’re looking forward to meeting Lolita! We’re sure she’ll travel like a pro.
I know only too well how close to impossible it is to get good photos of our dear little black critters. Mia certainly has some mesmerizing eyes. Kurco certainly does not look at all pleased! If Spanish sardines doesn’t do it, hard telling what might.
Sardines are the ultimate bribe 😉
Mia is indeed gorgeous.
And a sweetie too.
I find it difficult to even think about being away from Baron for 1 day much less several days and miles and miles between us and yet these furry friend lovers do that everyday 🙂
If it means they don’t get left behind, all pets put up with it 😉
The cats this time, absolutely fantastic AC. I was going to rave about Rikki, but found the others equally fascinating. –Curt
Yes, the photos do capture them well this time 😉
Oh, my goodness. What a fabulous group of travelers today…I lust after Cloud and Misty – they are too precious for words!! Safe travels, my friends…
Aren’t they a gorgeous lot!
Rikki definitely looks like the new (and still unnamed) Little Kitty at our house!

Mia is stunning!
A catnap danger for sure.
I’d steal her.

Can see exactly why you have a crush on Mia – isn’t she gorgeous!
We are new to your blog…what a wonderful service you offer! Thanks too for following my blog. I see my pal Easy has commented as well…he is one droll character. Mama sometimes drives rescues to a Vet about an hour thirty minutes each way. She says they all have different preferences in radio stations. She also says they are not backseat drivers !
Your new pal, Skyler Braveheart
Hi Skyler – delighted to have you on board, as it were! Easy sure is one droll character 😀 Lovely to hear that your Mama does rescue work, we noted on your blog how very talented she is. There are some very lucky rescues in your neck of the woods.
