Animalcouriers set off from the UK with a fine group of feline and canine passengers on board.
Odin and Bibi are travelling with us to Switzerland, to join Alan and his family. Although they’ll primarily be the family’s pets, they’ve also been trained by Len from K9 Protector to protect and look after all the family members. Len says he’s really enjoyed training these two — we must say, they are a very soft and friendly pair of dogs.
Family of four Mr Pickles, Douglas, Murphy and Twiglet are relocating with Sharon to Greece. Their journey started in Devon, and their new home is in the hills just south of Stoupa, with wonderful sea views to enjoy.
Tuxedo cat Jim joined us for one of his regular trips from London to the south of France. Now 15 years old, he sadly recently lost his twin brother Jules, and is travelling alone for the first time. We’re pleased to say he’s very relaxed and taking everything in his stride.
Three more familiar faces are also on board: Hugo, Ruben and Red. This trio of cats travelled with us from the Languedoc to York last year. But their owner, Susan, missed the warmth of the south of France, so the family are now on their way back, and will be managing a campsite at Saint Mandrier sur Mer.
Mum and daughter Fleur and Mittens are on their way to Normandy, to be reunited with Mike and Debbie. The two cats homeboarded with us while Mike and Debbie went on ahead to get everything ready for their arrival.

Now it’s Fleur’s turn to examine the front door. You can see both cats thinking: we came in this door, so logically… Both did a lot of scurrying and sniffing — a cat’s flight instinct drives it to try and run away, perhaps back to where it came from? But as is the case with many of our cat passengers, within an hour or so, they were well settled in thanks to familiar smells and the sound of their owners’ voices. Debbie and Mike will keep them in for about three weeks to give them a chance to adapt properly to their new environment.
What a cute bunch! Have fun and safe travels!!
Thanks – they are a super bunch!
Murphy looks a little like Charlie… maybe cousins? I hope the weather is much better in the south of france…it feels like march on the northpole here :o)
The weather in the south of France is not exactly living up to expectations at the moment 🙁
What gorgeous pest indeed and i must ask Pickles is she has married ..Mr PICKLES..hmmm what has she been doing! safe travels to all loves Fozziemum xx
Well, Mr Pickles would sure make a wonderful match for your Pickles but we might have to stand back and light the blue touch paper 😉
OMG, is there no end to the cuteness you carry back and forth?? Odin and Bibi look far too kind to be guard dogs, but Gentleman Jim could stand guard at Casa de Canterbury any time. He would be able to outsmart any outlaws – not to mention the canine residents!! Safe travels, my friends, as you make your way with your precious cargo in tow.
They are guard dogs for the family and really wonderfully gentle. Gentleman Jim is a very laid back fellow but he probably could run rings round your canine residents if he could be bothered 😀
I love all of the fantastic names!
Yes, they’re wonderful. We are going to have to put a book together with them all.
So many sweet looking pets! You offer such a great service.
They are a rather good looking group!
I’m with trainer Len — I have a soft spot for Bibi, too.
Funny how a bond forms in a short time with some animals.
What a bunch of lovely animals, you even have a little MK black and white kitty. Safe travels.
We have two but luckily not too similar 😉
Gorgeous photos 🙂 Bibi looks just like my dog Little Monkey!!
Little Monkey is a great name – does he/she live up to her name? 😉
haha Oh Yes – She does! 🙂
There is something about the way that Gentleman Jim is looking out at the world that intrigues me. –Curt
Funny you should say that Curt – Jim was spellbound looking at one of the dogs.
You could almost see him thinking…
What a great looking crew!! Bibi and Odin are sweet and I’m sure they’ll not only be fine pets but great protectors of their family……all the cats are gorgeous!
Pam and Sam
We think Bibi and Odin will be great additions to their family. Haven’t we got a lot of gorgeous cats on board this trip!
Mr. Pickles is a great name for a cat! That is a beautiful bunch of passengers, as always! Sorry to hear old Jim lost his brother cat. Our Marcus and Hope sleep in each other’s arms all the time. They are still fairly young, but I don’t even want to think about one without the other.
We are in early budbreak here. Hope we do not get a spring frost!
When you have two cats who get on so well it’s very sad to lose one – best not to think about it and enjoy them in the now. We have all things crossed the frost doesn’t come!
Wonderful to see people transporting them that have such an obvious love for these family members. So sorry about Tuxedo Jim’s brother, please give him a hug (or pet) from me.
It is sad – we’ll certainly pass that hug on.
Fluffy Red looks just like Orlando! Orlando doesn’t like to travel either………
Doesn’t he just! We think fluffy reds have a lot in common with each other 😉
Such a beautiful and sweet group, we are wishing you all safe travels and happy homecomings!
They are a lovely lot. Thanks for your good wishes!
Thanks Julia and team for looking after us and our safe journey to Normandy. Not forgetting the lovely pics and commentary and yes we have settled in happily and quickly here in France.
Have a safe journey Julia and Martin
from Fleur and Mittens
Great to hear from you Fleur and Mittens – good to know France is suiting you well! Keep safe and enjoy your new lives.
Mr Pickles and Gentleman Jim certainly are handsome cats.
They do look grand in their formal attire.
Thanks so much Shrimp!
In that first shot, Mr. Pickles looks like he has something to say.
Oh, he does. Mostly, is it food you’ve got for me 😉
Love the creamy ginger markings of the three cats going to France! Hope you all have a safe journey – best wishes as always!
The ginger trio are just gorgeous. Thanks Clive – the outward journey is over and the start of collection for the return starts now.
Great stories! The pics make the animals look so human! Nice work!
They’re all such gorgeous subjects to photograph but we’re not always up to it 😉
I can see the gratitude in their eyes.Amazing post.Regards.
Another heartwarming post; nice to see that some owners go that extra mile for their furry family
