In Spain Animalcouriers collected Etti, short for Loretta. She was brought to us by Pilar, who is a mainstay at the dog pound in Roquetas de Mar, in the Almeria region. Etti has been adopted by Victoria and David, who met and fell for her while they were on holiday. It’s all a big change for Etti, who’s gone from a life of foraging on the streets, to dinner in a bowl and dental chews on a plate!
Still in Almeria, we collected fluffy rabbit Boo In Vera. He belongs to Tamara, who’s been working on advertising shoots but is now moving to the UK to pursue a career in film. Tamara and Boo will be living in Oxfordshire.
In the old town of Valencia we met up with Jose Luis, who was waiting for us at a cafe for us to drive by and pick up Isis. Maine Coon Isis belongs to Jose Luis’s daughter, who’s moved to London with her husband. Jose Luis told us he’d very much enjoyed his stint as guardian and carer to Isis!
Barney is another rescue dog. Seven years old, he comes from the dog pound at Tossa de Mar. A local rehoming hadn’t worked out, but fortunately a new home in West Sussex came up before he was returned to the pound where he might have been put to sleep. We’re very pleased to be transporting him to his new family in the UK.
Yesterday evening we crossed the border from Spain to France and spend the night just outside Narbonne.
Our first collection today was little Chihuahua puppy Jazz, from the Tarn area of France. Owner Joanna is eagerly awaiting his arrival in the UK.
It makes me happy to look at these pictures of the animals you deliver and rescue. Someday I’ll have the time to look up all the places you visit and see where you go in your travels. I’m really enjoying your blog.
So glad you enjoy our blog. If you’re short of time, here’s a sneak peak at some of the places on the map: https://animalcouriers.wordpress.com/road-destinations/
Besides all the Furries and the little cutie pie Jazz, we love the photo of the sunset, it’s pawsome 🙂 Pawkisses for a Happy Weekend 🙂 <3

Thanks so much and we wish you everything you wish for in 2015!
Every time typist hears “driving home for Christmas” on the radio she thinks of you guys. You should so have that as your theme tune!!
What a great idea!
She’s not just a pretty face (but don’t tell you I told you that!!)
Such cuties. That sunset was such a treat I bet! Beautiful.
Everyone in the car park was busy taking photos of that incredible sky!
I love your happy endings that’s why I save your posts up for my achy face days (of which there are many)
Thanks Dallas – let’s hope there are fewer achy face days for you in 2015.
Gee I’m so glad that some kind folks decided to adopt Barney. As I looked at his photo I can see much sadness and anxiety. I’m sure that time and patience will work wonders for this beautiful dog. I hope his new adoptive family does not give up on him, as did the previous family.
It is lovely that Barney is having his second chance. Doubt very much that these lovely people will give up on him.
Hope you are right about that.
Pawkisses for a Happy Blessed New Year for you and all the furries 🙂 <3
And the very same to you Little Binky!
Just stopping by to wish you a happy and healthy new year!
Thanks so much and the very same back to all of you!

Thanks so much for the info about the heated bed – we’ll have to go look for one now!
Your “clients” get to see so many sights along with their human companions, I am jealous! That Spanish sunset was spectacular. Woof! And Jazz… OMG!
Yup, we all fell for the beautiful sunset, even the dogs loved their walks under it!
I have a Maine Coon Cat named Rusty, and he is one BIG cat…I’ve heard it is the nature of the breed. He is lovable and sweet and very lazy…a perfect cat.
Yes, Maine Coons are huge and gorgeous!
